Everyone is ripping.

The youth brigade is unbeievable.
The young brazillians, Noah from Maui 14, little boy from Hilo 14.
totally nuts.

Look out boys, here they come!!!
Too much more of that style of shenannigans and Stand Up is going to need an image overhaul. Pretty hard to bag out the fat, bald, lazy talentless pricks while thats going down.
Outstanding!!!
Cheers

Zane Schweitzer is a great kid and a super FUNNY Grommet with a good sense of classic humour, extremely talented SUP surfer in both Downwind or the lineup. Zane's parents would be very proud of there son.

Yeah he was a stand out in that vid , milked those waves for everything. Is cool how fast the sport is progressing and the talent getting into it , expecially the young guns , not a sport just for midlifers any more

Hey Scott

Do you think their boards are too wide?

Good point what are the real specs on the boards

Wide?

Sean and Zane were on 7'7" x 27" x 4" in that clip. Less than 100 liters of volume.

Sean is not small at 80 kilos. It is a smaller board than any mortal his size should surf, IMHO. Sean rode that small board in extremely bumpy conditions at that contest, and there was no channel to get out, you had to punch out through the surf.

How much narrower of a board do you want him to ride in those conditions?

Great surfing... Thanks Scott for the video!

Sorry if this appears to be a pimp but I know at Merimbula a lot of people loved getting out for a paddle on the 7'7" x 27".

So for those of you that did not make it to Merimbula catch up with us at one of our demos on the east coast over the coming weeks and try out the winning board details of demos and clinics at SUP.net.au.

Thanks,

Ian

Some great surfing in there as well.

Hmmm.......sub 28, narrow tail, more pulled in nose, sharper rails, around 100 litres - sounds like something a lot of us on here have been raving about for the last 18 months or so Perfect for 80 kilos!

Something else a lot of people on here have been talking about over the last 18 months is the Power Balance bands. Zane is still rocking one and also has his board stickered up.....

Yes they are comparable and I'm sure have just as much influence as board design[}:)]

Good to see Starboard finally catching up

Same here Mac definetly stringing all his turns together with heaps more flow. For the first time I could see Kai surfing under pressure forcing his turns.

Congrates Zane clear winner well done mate Looks like a great board just need to drop 10 kegs and I'm on it I assume that's the same board Lummers was ripping it up on at Merimbula.

Same ballpark. If your wearing a power balance you could rip like that riding a door!

Not taking anything away from the riding in the videos, if I could get half as good as Zane is on his back hand on my fore hand I would be happy.

Piros,

The board Lummers was on mostly on the weekend was his carbon 8'0" x 28", he was also on the 8'5" x 29", 10'0" x 30" Noserider, 7'7" x 27", 8'2"x 32", 10.0 x 34 inflatable, etc, etc,

To see and hear more from Lummers check out www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/SUP/SUP-Demo-Tour-Video-just-released/

Or to check out the boards as the Straboard SUP demo tour travels around the country check out SUP.net.au
