Other than Sunday there wasn't much fun to be had anywhere around Sydney last weekend unless your were prepared to brave some rather attrocious weather.
Spending a long weekend getting drenched on the Central Coast of NSW for state Nippers was even less fun with endless waiting whilst events got postponed and cancelled.
For every cloud there is of course a silver lining and kids being kids (lead by the biggest kid of them all) we hunted long and hard and came across this seaside attraction!
I dont think we have ever had so much fun at a Nipper Carnival!!
Classic! At one point they ALL disappeared only to surface with mouth-fulls of foam custard. Keeping a close eye out this week on odd rashes or new growths!
It was the weirdest sensation wading trough it - no resistance at all.
Then a big one would come through with a solid base of water underneath.
When a few came with debris in the mix it was time to pull the pin.
You think you know the ocean pretty well and then it delivers up some new weird experience!
You see the footage from Qld GC a few weeks ago when a couple of SES guys are peering into a pit of sea-foam across a dip in the road. Yes some debris came out, a car!
Luckily it missed.
We watched you having fun and were envious we did not join in - cabin fever sucks! Glad you made the most of the conditions.
Just came across this online;
Nice photo's of the same place and an interesting reason for the foam.
