we have been getting some perfect SUP swell courtesy of some tropical lows far off in the indian ocean.

sending nice Westerly swell that get in everywhere on the coast...

had a magic session at cott on thurs night - knee to shoulder high (these waves on a sup deliver the drive of an over head high wall on a 6'4) mechanical walls with not a drop of water out of place - the starboard 11'2 was gettin 40 m long lefts at a mysto reef break.

Pumping for speed down the line or getting low grabbing a rail for some extra drive when set up behind the section.

I reckon there were 10 stand ups spread out over 5 breaks - all loving life!

apparently friday night was joy too..

and there is another west swell building as i speak..

Yes I agree it was sweet.
Ive had my 11'2 now for 12 days and ive only missed 2 days.
I think the next swell I will head down your way just so I can enjoy some waves with fellow SUPers. I seem to be the only one in the northern suburbs.
Thursday I went out until dark at Mettems. It was closing out but the smaller ones were a treat.
Went out again on friday night with only 2 other longboarders out. I had to give away waves hehehe.
Saturday night I was out at Trigg Point and had another magic paddle. Stayed out until 9pm. When I came in a family came up to me and was like WOW what is that!? They said it looked like I was walking on water and they couldnt believe how fast I was moving. They also said I had an audience who were taking photos of me while I was passing the setting sun. A magic sesh.
And this arvo I put on my 5.7m and sailed it! To my surprise I flogged it hahaha. I first went out without my harness but then went back in to get it. Once hooked in and on the plane I automatically stepped back for the foot straps... DOH! No straps!
Anywho... here is a photo of my rig 3k's offshore

And here are some photos of some glass I scored before work

The quality is not that good as it was taken from my 2mp phone camera

Hahaha its from the 9th floor of the new hotel in Hardiesville.
Yeah I can make SP on Saturday.
SUP wont ever take over from windsurfing. There is a time and a place for both of them. Either one or the other. I think anything over 15 knots and the SUP will stay in the shed.
You just need to get a board Miller. Come on you know you want to hehehe
Get one quick before Sophie comes
