Sorry messup,
I don't care if thats clever, skillful or even relaxing to watch.
It drags this sport to the lowest drain in the gutter.
Its gayer than the madigras.
Browner than the brownest turd.
Some sports in there inception require a bit of credibility to ease the doubters.
That stuff just allround aint good at all........

WTF..?
some sports in their inception require a bit of credibility to ease the doubters..?

if you're serious, thats the stupidiest statement i've ever read
who do you do things in your life for...? yourself or for some kind of recognition and congratulatory pat on the back and hero worship from the mouth breathing bovine masses.
or you just have a major infieriority complex...
do you have 'we are the champions' playing on loop inside your head but have changed the words to 'I am the champion', cause that song was by a bunch of gays who were actually championing gay rights.

your post has to be a piss take....
exactly how does it drag the sport down...?
all i see is an incredible amount of skill and balance (even credibilty thanks to all the included fall offs towards the end).

i'm inspired and am going straight out to the pond to start practicing now, and if any one calls me gay or a brown turd, i'm gonna crack 'em to the side of the head with the edge of me paddle blade.
see youse at the mardi gras with wax on me board

Ha har nice one Doc!

Dont worry about credibilty of the sport - it stands on it own 2 feet (with a paddle).

Anyone can be a kook -the ocean is the ultimate leveller.

That was way less gay than people doing paddle twirling when they're surfing........

Well obviously I don't care cos I am into the sport as much as anyone.
But you don't have to be a brain surgeon (is that how you spell it?) or even a doctor to work out that in the surfing community, there are some doubters about SUP. This stuff adds credibility to this argument.

Yep Stuey,
That paddle twirling is pretty lame also thats for sure.

And good luck to anyone who wants to swing there paddle at me....
Temper temper.

GTF outta Here!

Tom, mate you don't have to apologise to anyone!!

Mate, all that matters is that you are stoked on StandUP and you want to share the stoke!
Who cares if you post a vid of some guy tanked on Redbull dancing on his board!

Who gives a rats-a what others think! Jeeez, whats'UP guys!! [}:)]

We used to cop this crap from skiers back in the early 90's on our snowboards! Who gives a rats what they think -jeezuus its early days, there will always be doubters (and wankers) - its all part of an emerging sport - embrace it don't flame it!

Sure the guy has skill and balance but you won't see me at a SUP event with freestyle.
Distance races I understand for the fitness aspect and surf events for surfing but freestyle (if thats what you would call it) is pretty lame. Note, thats my opinion only.

I'm with Scotty.

Yep, I love forum's but hate myself for getting sucked in all the time!

not my thing either, but this guy is the owner of gong surfboards in france and maybe saw it as a chance to display how much you can move about on one of his boards.unless its a demonstration of shark avoidance techniques.

I'm partial to the odd bit of dancing on your board or even a bit of paddle twirling and yoga moves for that matter but not to the point of being 'mesmerized' by it - that's going too far. Are you selling any of the stuff you are on messup or is it just personal use?

AWESOME!! I want one of these!

"This ultra versatile piece of equipment loves radical moves. It is definitely a modern and performance-centred board. It is also a great board for charging at 200 km/h down the line even when it is pumping !
This board was developed in Hawaii during heavy winter sessions and its stability on steep waves and very hollow walls is awesome."

Heavy Winter sessions on what? Crack!

That would double as a great ironing board. Kind of looks like my ULI without the ability to tuck itself away in a cupboard. It's a good thing they don't take themselves too seriously - cause their boards look like the brown stuff that comes out of your anus.

I reckon you put that tricky cat in some waves and he would absolutely rip. I'm still not big on the paddle twirling, though my niece reckons if you're gonna do it properly you should have the free hand placed on your hip!!!
