Long time no see...
I have been in stealth mode...
Here is a pic of me riding my new 6'11" microSUP prototype shaped by Jorge Mora of Sick Surfboards...
Dale - the board is 6'11" x 28 1/2" x 4 1/8".
It should be mentioned that the microSUP requires semi-glass to glassy conditions. It is extremely difficult to maintain balance on (it's like learning all over again) but it more than makes up for it on the waves. The board is not for everyone, but, for someone wanting to push it to the very edge, it does the trick.

I know there must be some Aussies who have been experimenting with similar gear and I would really like to see what you are coming up with...
(let the posts of boogie boards with fins glued on them begin)
Hey Jon - looks nice - really pushing the boundaries of SUP!
I just made myself a 'gun' 9'2" x 27" x 4 1/2" with a really fine tail - I weigh 180lbs (82kg). I am loving the narrowness of this one and am keen to make an 8'4" along the same lines but maybe 27 1/4". I don't think I will go too much shorter than this as I want to keep it narrow and have some paddle speed.
We got some overhead waves today as well...wooo hoooo
Puts me to shame! - at 143lb (65kg) I should be riding something shorter than 8'8".
Would love to try those 711 and 611 boards- great to see people are still on the quest for how short is too short
Goatman: Thanks! Your 8'4" gun sounds spot on - the better to rip those overhead waves with!
Intrinsik: I really think that a quiver is key. That 8'8" would be the board of choice on many days. Thanks for the good words!
