after testing a few different sub 9/0 sups
i settled on the 8/6 wide ripper from paddle surf hawaii
and after surfing it for the last 2 weeks it gets better with every surf .
ive ridden it in double over head waves and 1 ft dribble !
i was surprised how stable and how easy it catches waves
it turns verticle with ease and loves the critical part of the wave
the rocker and nose lift work well blane chambers really knows his sh#t
what blew me out , was how well it went in solid juice, fast , loose & controled
then in tiny stuff it caught waves and turned unreal !
i would recomend this board as a great all round board in lots of different conditions
one very stoked supper !!!!

I've gotta agree with you bournda
I got my 8'6"WR about 3 weeks ago and it's been getting better with every surf
I love this board!!!
Hi bournda,
I've got the 9-2 allrounder and been thinking about moving onto the 8-6 wide so this report is timely. How is the stability of the board when you are hanging out the back waiting for sets coming through? And what's it like with a bit of side shore chop? What fin set up are you using?
Awesome to hear you are enjoying
Thanks
Div

i highly recomend this board for any one that wants to take there sup riding to another level with out compremising stability ,ease of catching waves and performance .
and like i said in my first rap it also eats up juicy and tiny waves its a no lose !!!
hope this helps you out guys
when i rode it last saturday at 5 to 6 ft waves mates on surfboards told me if it wasnt for the paddle in my hand theythought i was surfing a shortboard .
cheers bournda
Had my first surf today on the 8'6 Ripper and from first impressions agree with Ali and Bournda a really impressive board.
Have more volume with this board compared to the previous one which is what I was after just to make it a bit easier for balancing in the more common choppy conditions I've been in of late, still feels great on the wave and with more time sounds like will be even better.
Stewy from SHQ ordered these new Gerry Lopez SUP fins in for himself but Paul sold them to me before Stewy got to them, thet went well today, thanks mate.
Keen to try quad set up soon too.
Hey WorlSUP,
the deck grip went well, the pattern doesn't matter, just space them how you like, some say a bit tighter together where you stand just for comfort.
