I was looking everywhere in the photos for the old fanatic, before realising he was standing on the new fanatic. Very clever.

That is his back foot. All of these waves a switchfoot !!!!
Think I might have to enter over 40s MJ with you looking so fit - no one else will have a chance.

yeh yeh I had better answer a few questions,

Sparxy, suffice to say, way back then, mmm can't remember to much... life was a little more hedonistic...
John, only one speed will do, besides with surfing you don't have to act your age...do you? and there are lots of mongrels in the over 50's now... right?
grtlg, yeh the leggies on the left leg cause the right broke decades ago, speed skateboarding when it wasnt a good idea to do so, yep plenty of dramas... for a while it even felt like I was going backwards....
Lacey lots of training to keep up with Deano, camo warwick Chris and Pt all those younger bastards
Pup,once a grom always a grom, I'm trying to wind the clock back :-)

the paddle is a Ke Nalu the flex gives some twang...the thing goes like a rat up a drainpipe

G'day Hock. 8'10" great board about 6kgs quick out of turns with low volume tail yet under foot when paddling plenty of stability, a good pleasure craft and looks pretty neat, red goes fast and adds to one's virility

Great pics.
May seem an odd question, but how was the travel with the sup? Any probs?
Not packing etc, but plane, taxis etc.
Want to get away later this year.
Cheers

heh sandsyi travel is easy, most airlines have size limit of 9ft, get a good travel board bag take the fins out, cable ties or similiar around the zip ends and hope the f**k it ends up in one piece at the other end... in the times I have been I have had no trouble, once there just take some straps @4.0 m length, (lockable ones are good) that can go over the roof and tie in the cabin of the rented car and jobs right, go surf"n...
Thanks Rob, must admit I hang out to go surfing in warm water, its easy to be loose, but yeh fun board...
