this is my dream set up of surf equipment i hope to build up. i know i'm probably going to cop some stick for it, but here it is. in no real order
i have
a simon anderson shortboard.
a dc 8'6 step rail area pin which i've just nutted out for fins- a fantastic board to surf
a hurricane oc1- love the speed and endless runners in average size conditions these craft allow you to get. also great for your paddling
like to get these toys
a javelin - so i hopefully a can at least still see the behinds of all the better paddlers in front of me at training etc haha.jacko shouldn't be allowed to have one- it's un fair
a f16 for the big stuff- say no more
a dc 12'6 travis grant style bop dw board- a stable fast surfing racing board
i might add here that at sunday's club race which was an in and out race style, scotty did real well on the sb surf and wasn't that far behind for a bloke who doesn't train at all. to be honest as i was sitting out in the water being a human marker buoy it looked pretty good, so i'm wr, wr, wron, wron - wrong with my previous comments on the board. it goes alright
a dc 16 or 17 pretty much the same as the blue one i sold to get the oc1- an all round fast ocean board that will still hold it's own and be hard to better in the flats
cheers

I've been lucky enough to play around with a lot of short & longboards and more recently SUP's without touching the credit card much as I've been able to buy wholesale and trade without losing a lotta so after much internal debate, I've recently sold 15 boards ranging from old mals to fishes and my very last 2 Surftech Longboards are on eBay as I write.
I'm a SUP only guy now, loving the sport too much to ever consider crowds and flapping around grovelling ever again so I've arranged a quiver of SUP's for a semi kook with width and stability while I learn all that I can from you guys and at least 5 sessions of still water or beach break paddling / week - it's like being a grommet all over again.
It was about making every day a possibility to be in the water regardless of conditions, surf size, wind direction or whether ocean / beach or river.
So, the re-build has been completed with the hope of a 17' at some stage......
