I've got nothing against helmets..I wear one every day..
..I didn't mean anything by my question..Thinking about it it's probably a good idea.
I've been going to dig out my old Gath..to mount my camera on it..

dj the board in the flat water with the grommet is the 11'6 and the rest 10'6 after mucking around with the grommet i went for a down wind paddle up the wooli river the tide was going out but with the 25-30knt wind and chop up my arse it took me no time at all to travel about 3km from the mouth of the river back to town got some great runs in the chop loved it
and i started wearing the gath helmet after i had a skin cancer cut off my lower lip im now missing about 15mm from it(ouch) so i started using it for sun protection for the face pulling down the visor but if you have used one before youll know that they fog up and slightly distort your vision
so i just pull down the visor like a hat brim until i destroyed it when the board hit me in the head(ouch) funny though since i got the helmet i been hit in the head so many times its not funny
i wear it all the time now its like my sercurity blanket surfing paddleboarding kiting flatwater whatever bit like you and your crocs
greenroom ...lol....i had some other music on the vid from one of the bands i used to play in until i was working at home on my house listening to some of my old band cds when the track came on with the line "row row row your boat row row lifes but a dream now" i cracked up and said to my mate thats the song for the sup clip
so thats the noise on the vid TURN IT UP im playing the drums and the band is called LOWBROW
got to bribe the missis and mates missis to film some more...lol...fat chance

just the local back beach is the first couple of waves about 300m from my house and the rest is about 2km from my house via a short 4wd treck up the beach
banks around here have been great this year so far
as you can see its a bit crowded ...lol...
