How did you handle the wind and chop? I've been stand up paddling mostly in the surf for about 4 months now, I know I've got a long way to go , but I would have had a hard time in that much wind and chop.
This wasn't a choppy day and neither it was really windy.
to handle wind and chop, you have to practice in wind and chop conditions ; the calm flat days take a paddle along the coast and try to improve your paddling skills ; you'll learn a lot riding beach breaks as well.
