I've got to build some sort of rack to get my board up off the ground and out of the way. Has any anyone got any advice or photos of racks that they have built to store sup boards.

I've had an idea of mounting my naish on a feature wall either inside or outside the house, I think the board and paddle could double as a good art piece when it's not in use. To me it looks too beautiful to be stashed in a cover in the shed. Currently it just lies on it's side outside - such a shame.
I assumed mounting some big hooks to the wall, but maybe there are some better ideas out there.
This is what I have made up to store my big SUP boards..Excuse the mess..
I just lift the nose onto the first roller..and push..and it just rolls forward till the nose rests on the other roller..and I push till the fin touches.
Removing I just grab the fin and pull till it's almost all the way off the first roller.
I have plans to tidy this up a bit and made new rollers and just need to pad them a little to protect the board..Ill post another pic once it's done.
I think you could do something like this under your house if you have the space.

Currently mine just sits on a couple of old matresses in the shed but i was thinking of buying a couple of saw horses to sit on so it's at a good height to pick up and work on.(also will be handy when i put a deck pad on soon.)
I have a rack above my car. It's a cross-piece with 2 verticals holding it up. It allows side access so I can whip the board straight off the rack and down onto the roof and back again. Side loading is good.
BTW. I am a bit of a neat freak and I hate getting my board dirty and I hate getting salt all over my car. Before I got the bag I was marking the board from the roof racks and dropping salt water on the car.
My method now is to:
Put the board on a piece of grass.
Wipe it dry with a chamois.
Spread the bag out and flip the board onto the bag.
Wipe the other side clean and dry.
Slip it into the bag and pop it on the roof.
I also chamois the paddle and put it into a paddle bag.
Another tip:
I carry a 4 litre water container. You fill it with hot water and wrap it in your towel. It stays warm for 8-10 hours and tepid for 24 hours. You can finish your session then wash yourself down with warm water.
I reckon the most important thing in storing boards is to keep them out of the sunlight. I have boards and canoes and kayaks under my house, in the dark, that are still in great condition after 20+ years. If I left them in the sunlight they would have been long gone....
