yeah, i left out brand name and photos in this post follow up report/review because it seems to get on some peoples gander, but its still it not enough.

people were asking for info, news etc not so long ago, but the posts seem to get hijacked and it's just not worth the trouble.

i'm not posting ## stuff again, but if anyone ever has some q's they can pm me- i'll help if i can
cheers

Don't be like that.. Reading your post I was honestly thinking about the 14' Glide until you got to the 30" wide bit and I thought 'what the'.. .. The pic was a joke..

I'd like to hear more about Dales new 14 and you don't need to worry about mentioning DC.. What's going on with that? .. I'd like to hear more about what you think of it.. and I'm sure so would others here.

Post the vid again so people know what you're on about... and don't be so serious or worry about what some may think.

hi dj, yeah i realise it was a joke and your not mean. i just got a bit annoyed the more i thought about it last night, but i've chilled out now.

look, the board has amazing stability, speed and run. i don't give a toss about me. i see the effort and time that goes into creating and making and putting these boards out. it's just disappointing see some of the comments .

i really believe this board is a jump in performance and stability. imo it's not a surfing type dw- more pure ocean runner. it would be ideal for big distance paddling because it so easy.

the vid post was pulled because of all that stuff that went down. alain has it but i'm not sure about how he would feel about putting it up again
cheers

Had my chance to paddle the yellow 14' today. Not the Banana barge above either Twice, once on flat water and then this arvo in a disorganized down winder.

My 14' is narrower at 28 wide and much lighter than this one BUT this board is both quicker and much more user friendly with stability (30") than my board. This could just be a board that is fast and stable and on runs is like walking on the road. IS GOOD! I want one....,

how sweet is the 30 wide .anything under that is way too much hard work.a good stable platform to paddle on is so much faster and fun for 99% of us!!my 2 cents worth

That's a really nice looking board. What are the dimensions Lacey? and do all of Dales boards have that style of vertical nose?

this ones 14 x 30' weighs 11.7 kgs. alain designed this model. from what i can gather he has placed the volume more or less under the nose kind of ,so there isn't the big height at the front. there is only a hint of down turned nose so it look taller than say what dc has been doing with the big nose turn down. it was always there but was getting shaped down. there are other herbs and spices in there too, but can't give everything away.

all i know is it goes really really well and is super stable. also i can get in the alley in a strong southerly.

i've got one profiled on the file at 29". its a tuff one- is it narrow enough, do i go more hardcore narrower and then mess with the stability that lets you paddle hammer and tongs with out much checking, but could be an absolute speed demon

we'll stick with the 29' i reckon.

i've got a hardcore easy conditions board- a dc 15 er x 25.5" which makes even me look like a paddling ace it a freaky fast board this one. everytime i think maybe it should go, i paddle it and it blows me away
cheers

ok this is what i think
no matter what. If you are unstable on a board
on a downwinder or on a lake
you are going to be slower than if you were on a stable platform.
the advantage of having a narrow board is more than out weighed
by wobbleing all over the shop.
go wide go fast!

agree noel. it depends on the conditions too i reckon.the 15 certainly wasn't the board to take out mon, tues , weds. but sunday i cruised up to north kirra surf club and back. in those conditions it was perfect. it makes for the perfect light conditions board.

however, if it's 50/ 50 call, i'll take 'wide' stability anyday and besides it's fast and has that runner jumping ability

i was going to give the 15' to alain for you guys to paddle around for a few days, but he couldn't take it
cheers
