continuing on the tightass theme...... (the money tree in the back hasn't flowered this yr )

I've got half a 90% carbon skinny...top half...broken on the ferule..so plent of room to work with. what about attaching a paddle and a handle to that.....

anyone got any bright ideas on where to get a paddle blade from and best way to connect...(fibreglass ???).....

miller here again, just need to keep them 1's a bit longer

started the paddle...

first cut down mast to desired length

take out sail plug from the top end.....

oh look, t grip is in....almost a perfect fit

next hack off paddle, leaving about 4", this loosley fits in the end, and will be
epoxed in....

couldn't do it though, cos the forecast is looking oh so good for the next few days...and glass will take a couple of days to go off

more updates next week

Great pictures..That should work well..Just don't end up with it too short.

I was going to suggest 5 min Araldite to attach the blade.

Is there much slop with the fit of the alloy to the bigger end of the mast?

It's a shame those white Naish blades are so heavy..Jeez..What's on the inside of them..Lead?

Good for keeping your balance tho..Maybe that's what they were thinking at Naish.

yeah bit loose at that end... couple of mm.....going too glass around the alloy first to beef it up for a snugger fit.
