Going off Dogman. You rip it up. How good was that bank in the first Vid - it was sick!! Hope you get some decent waves for the NSW contest. About time people got to see this sort of action from the SUP world. And I am sure that the rest of the fellas would be ripping it up as well. Keep them coming.

I thought Dogman's Bitch films him? The place I've been surfing lately I'd probably get bashed if I filmed, and the other place I usually surf the camera would get stolen. My local might not get stolen, but all the busloads of Japanese tourists would pose in front of it and you wouldn't see me except occasionally over their shoulder. Plus my local's not working this (non) winter, no banks.
Not ever tempted to take out a shortboard again Dogman? Waves like the first one vid don't require a SUP but you obviously aren't going back?

Yeah, that's why I ask. I saw the old shortboard vid, but IIRC he only SUPs now? He did alright on a shortboard for sure. People often say they use SUPs for conditions that don't suit SBs, but e.g. that beachie was certainly doable on a SB, looking consistent and with a well defined takeoff zone.

about 3 weeks ago i grabbed a mates shortboard for a couple of waves after the boys bet i couldnt even paddle into a wave on it (it had been over 2 1/2 yrs since i rode one)the board was way too small for me so you can imagine i didnt have much fun but caught a few then swapped it for a more pie eater friendly shortboard and had a ball on it
but in the end couldnt wait to get a paddle back in my hands
i only ride a shortie if i'm kiting
dont worry to much casso looks like i wont be making it for the comp at the moment
DMB doesnt need anymore encouragement in pulling my handbrake on any further

Your lucky you live in an area where you can leave an unmanned camera filming for hours and still come and find it there.
If that was the Gold Coast the thieves wouldnt have let your Lens capture the first wave.
Be WARY if surfing up the Spit way as not long ago I had all my belongings taken from the beach when having one of my most enjoyable surfs in ages. Massive come down is an understatment.
