And how can it be a cost of living subsidy if Perth, freo etc don't get it....

Agree totally SP , means in the real world the AFL is paying buddies wage

Would anyone be talking about this if GWS bought buddy?
Not a chance in the world. Sydney is th most eexpensive city in Australia by a long shot, hence why it was started.
Go the swans

Pickering has delivered in a big way for his client/customer - regardless of who the buyer is in the end .... the fun would start IF the AFL scuttles the deal be interesting to see if Eddie had a crack for the Pies

PS - I think we should start the AFL & NRL 2014 pages, on New Years Day... They have both been a fun thread on this Longboard Forum...

Seems to please Mac too... All things AFL & NRL get talked about in 1 spot. And sh!t, we almost stay on topic!

Don't bag the wizz. I see him nearly every day and he is pretty cool. Always up for a chat and is very knowledgeable when it comes to footy talk.

Does he give you a free coffee Chrispy , heard him on the FiFi and Jules show promising all their listeners free coffee , must have cost him a small fortune

Turns out signing Buddy is a he'll of a risk for the swans , The AFL has come out and said the payments are enforceable even if the cost of living allowance is removed , also the million dollars or so that buddy gets each year is to be included in the salary cap even if buddy retires .
Imagine if the cost of living allowance is scrapped in 3 to 4 years and buddy retires - financial disaster for the swans .makes them about 2 million dollars a year worse off .

TD - do not worry about the storm....they spent many yrs pretending they had an extra $3million a year in salary gap. They are a poor team to use as an example to anyone......Sydney is bloody expensive compared to Melb I must say but almost cheap compared to Perth !

Perth is definitely more expensive for almost everything compared to the Eastern States .... the isolation ie: shipping / freight costs do WA in .... sadly it is cheaper to buy in goods from overseas in some cases (shizzes me as I would much rather get the gear from WA local or at the very least an Aussie shop supplier!!!)

Message to a good hearted brother with some drive , vision & some available coinage somewhere .... please build a wave pool for the crappy weeks we have to endure ... you will make a squillion

Chrispy, I'm a big fan of The Wizz (Capper) !!
If I had stacks of money, I would pay him for his personalised tour of The Gold Coast, staying at his apartment, getting a ride in the Ferrari, etc!

Anybody else as embarrassed as I was watching the Irish kick our butts in the international rules game .

Wonder what the go is with not sending our best team over , did the AFL underestimate the Irish , apparently according to the press the top players want to compete

You are right Chrispy they sent an indigenous side thinking they were good enough to match the Irish .I reckon that was done to keep the clubs happy so most of the big names got their full end of season break .

Would be a shame to see the concept fold like the interstate footy

Don't know if it was all down to the shape of the ball Pup , the Irish seemed to play all over the Indigenous team .it was like watching an A grade side against an under 18 s .

yeah I reckon it was a cultural tour really Taz .... the interstate matches have to come back soon , NRL has a deadset winner with origin and everybody knows it ... bring it back bring it on for me

Note: I will still watch and wait for NRL origin because it is the SHIZZ
