FYI - on the S/B graphs the swell at Lano is actually smaller than Perth metro - albeit only 0.1m... (and yes, we know that the swell gets through better up there...)
Due to the small metro swell and the fact that nearly everyone has tomorrow off, i reckon it could be crowded up there...
I got a few nice pics today and will put them up tomorrow.Only about 3 foot or so but some nice barrels over a local reef.
2-3' offshore breeze everyone else playing 2up
Tried to have a crack at getting the GF to do a drive up to cressent for the day - she wasn't up for it
I think it will be small and soft. I doubt I will even get out there. I shall take a look at first light and will be hoping for the best. I am just back from the beach now and it does not give me a great deal of confidence from what I saw sadly.
Oh well its been a good few weeks and it will pick up again in a few days time.
My forecast is that I will be 10 beers deep and up $200 by 3pm!!
i wouldnt make the drops on a board. i know i will be beaten, but i know it will be worth it. first thing in the morning is taking the 666 out with some crab pots so i can i have a nice feed while watching the mighty red v
I was wrong. The swell has picked up a tad and with a lovely cold offshore that had been blowing all night it was simply heaven. A few more people than normal but everyone was in good spirits. I checked an easily accessible spot first and was just a little excited at what I saw - such nice conditions. So I hoofed it around the corner and it was smoking. Not big but 3ft on the sets, clean, hollow and very peaky. Perfect beach break conditions.
Hope you all got some fun ones today.
LM to GM 3-4 foot clean long faces did the walk 4 times stoked it was packed but I have a renewed interest in the place
didnt take LB
@Ted
Perfect conditions - great photos - thanks for sharing... No such luck this side of the country - it's dead flat.
PS - how's your nephew going with the GoPro?

Yeah - my son loves his. He's getting into Parkour (free running) and a bit of Gymnastics so there's plenty of him and his mates doing back-flips etc off various things - looks great when they are holding it - gives the impression that they are still and the world is spinning...
Last weekend I saw plenty of boards with the mounts on the front - even a boogey board.
Looks like you got the best of it Ted, and nice shots.
Was very average up here. Not even 2ft and that wind was freakin freezing and howling early.
thanks fellas - has been a great day. The second surf was still lots of fun but it had dropped a bit SP - although the crowds were gone and there was only 12 of us on a big long stretch of beach - great to see fathers and their sons out there hooting each other - makes for a wonderful experience I reckon.
Did no one else surf today? Pics or it didn't happen as Doggies would say - if he had internet at home that is!!!
Those peaks in the middle of the beach look good Ted. Is there a bommie further out that makes it happen ?
