^^^^^enjoy surfing 10% only. i like to surf whenever i can. im not lucky like you to surf overhead quality every weekend.

Mate if I could walk across the street and have a surf I would surf every day before and after work and have a ton of different boards for all conditions but, I cant cos I live 20mins from my local that only works after massive NW storms.
Plus I work mon-fri 7.15am - 4.30 or 5.00pm. Weekday surfs are a pipe dream for me.

Mate I enjoy what I do 100%, but Im not out the 100% of the time.

So, weekends are the only time I get in the water. What is the problem with that?

You guys can travel 10 seconds to great waves consider yourselves lucky.

i never said there was a problem with what you do. all i was saying is that if i didnt have a mid or a long board and relied on my bourton silver bullet i would only surf about 20% of the year. even though i live local to the beach i still dont get anywhere near the good surf you talk about and if i relied on weekends for good surf,i would give it away and skate more. so you having overhead perfection every weekend, well you are ****ing spoilt and im jealous

I have only missed one weekend since the start of January and that was because of the wind. I do have to travel about an hour each way to get too these places but I surf every weekend. See, Perth isnt as bad as you would think. Scarbough gets good after NW storms when the sand is moved around. We even have Rotto that 40min by ferry, I dont do the trip much anymore but that joint has some waves that would make your hair stand on end
At the end of the day you fellas have many many many waves close to you and you can surf every day. I cant but I make up for it on the weekends

PS:: I only skate to the pub these days, cant be faaarked walking

Doggie some of us work similar hours to you and check the surfs cams from work even tho the beach is 5 mins away and wish we could be there but life sucks some times.

Get yourself a longboard so you can surf any wind blown crap you like,a sh-t surf is way better than doing donuts in the carpark imo.

Custom mid length 8ft - 34yo. Dropped back to a 7'6" hybrid around 37yo and then on to the 7'3" fish around 40yo.

First true LB at 43yo after watching too may of you guys picking up perfect little summer waves that I could not paddle on to...

Still prefer the fish if the waves permit...

Bought my first LB at 16-17 and had everything from SBs, mid length, single fins, eggs, quads, hybrids, 8ftrs, logs...in between but always had a 9ftr in the garage.
