Just picked up what I think is a bargain. A 9'6 mal with a new bag in very good nic for $100! Has FCS and triple timber stringer. Shaped in Newquay, England. The bloke I bought it off just wanted to get rid of it cos it was taking up room in his shed ha ha.

I pick it up tomorrow and will put up a couple of photos. Cant remember the brand off the top of my head but it will still be a good backup if/when the F/Ball gives up the ghost.

Even if the only thing of any value is the bag then you're probably close breaking even, nice score.

When you think about it, no one is going to make a triple stringer hunk of junk.

Yeah well I hope not but for $100 its a good backup. I swear I will never pay full price for a board If I can help it, picking up bargains like this will ensure that doesnt happen.

Just as bad luck would have it I will miss this swell with work commitments so wont get to use it for a little while, absence makes the heart grow fonder, and the patience thinner [}:)]

Sorry to crash your post. Thought I might get it rolling with some pics of another nice triple stringer !!

Looking forward to seeing your photos ! Sounds like a bargain !

This is a purpose built shooter for those bigger days at your favorite point break.

It is hard to replace a board like that! But I could move it on for $775 plus freight, with a 10 to 12 week wait whilst my replacement gets made! The blank takes time to get, plus Doug needs to find time, then glass. With fins. Condition is excellent. These pics were before it was ridden though.

Beautiful board Simondo, at 8' it would be nice to take off with on a decent sized. Bet is paddles like a demon!

Souwester, you bet it's nice on the take-off in bigger stuff ! And yes, it paddles in with speed !! Keeps your wave count higher than average.

Looking forward to pics of yours too.

Just picked it up and put it on the roof rack guys. Here is the photos. A few small chips around the tail and a minor shatter near the nose. Other than that in mint condition. If anyone knows anything about the board would like to know if its any good. The proof will be in the pudding but I like speculating on forums

I admit it's tantamount to thievery but I can understand why the guy practically gave it away.

It's only valuable to guys like us, to him it's just junk that will cost him time and effort to dispose of for a few hundred extra and possibly a troublesome buyer.

Good stick.

I'll give you $110 for it.

Ha ha well for the guys over east it would be well over $1000 cos I would have to add $800 or $900 postage

I waxed it up last night cant wait to give it a whirl, got some solar resin for the small cracks so all good to go now. Just need some time and swell to combine in that beautiful way that it sometimes does.

Gave "the bargain" a crack on the weekend on a small beachie. Banks were good with some little rollers going a fair way to the beach.

I think the board is more a "down the line shape" than a traditional longboard. Was not very responsive off of the tail, it was a really small fat day though so will keep trying it out and see how it goes.
