I would have to agree, Electra or check out the Felt Bikes range. Not sure if they import into Australia but they make some super nice cruisers.

ratrodbikes.com if you are keen on the originals

HAHAHA thats classic.

Nah I think its because they are badass. You dont need to wear spandex, look like a homo and they are actually FUN to ride.

Plus I like to pass roadies on my cruiser bike and ring my bell on the way past just to **** with them.

Well Im 28 and have ridden a beach cruiser for about 10 years, so you dont need to be old to ride one. Plus how many babes do you see on beach cruisers. I dont know about you but I see ALOT!!

Felt seem to be doing a smaller range of cruisers these days.
That Hot Wheels thing looks good hey?

Biggest problem with cruisers - is that they aren't particularly well set up ergonomically...

I always have to slap myself, and remind myself that I would never ride the damn thing... My Mountain Bike is set up perfectly for me, and would be far easier to cover 2-3-4-5km on it...

But I love the look of cruisers!

Ahh Simondo I beg to differ, I ride mine 17kms to work each day. You need to find a good one. The crappy ones have a short top tube and arent very good. The electras are setup nice.

About 10 years ago this bloke had a bright idea to import these cool bikes from America called Electra.

Anyway, his idea was a good one but the market wasn't ready. He ended up liquidating them to crew in shops. I got myself and the wife one, hers the full deluxe with mudguards, gears etc. Mine the basic beach cruiser. $250 for both. We'd ride them and people would laugh at our bikes.

5 or 6 years later they are everywhere.

Testiment to their quality they are still going well........

One of my favorites is the Felt Slater. Here's one with a cool motor addition!

I love the Felt Hotwheels-68 (to go with the Rincon 68!).

This is actually in the category of Custom Cruiser.

I agree, those Electra Cruisers are probably set up really well!
