Rightio Fellas

Who is keen to head to Plommer Thurs Nov 1 till Sun / Mon for a weekend of beer, movie making and a surf on the new beer garden board?

obct is heading to Whoopi that w/e so can call in on his way north, Chrispy is keen to bring the board down, rumour has it AC is keen as well. If we can pull a few people together we can have a nice catch up over a few waves and beers in the true spirt of the experiment. Its not far for SP or myself - I can probably try and bring The DUDE if he is around lurking (PM if you keen) . Mac and LL - this would be a great road trip for ya. Plenty of untouched 666 stuff for LL to play on as well. Maybe Big Spax can bring one or two of his 12fters along. Maybe Simondo can get a flight up and one if us can pick him up. Lots of options. When is the Pup over?

It would be good to get a few of you Queenslanders down and we can try and rark up a few of the NSW crew as well. Should be a ripper.

You have a month to plan !

Here is obct on one from our trip there in May.

Its 437km from Collangatta and 367km from my place so its not too far for you boys! Maybe someone should get in touch with Boofy and advise him as he showed strong interest last time around. I think me and the chickybabe will carry on north and head back to Byron for a week afterwards as we are over half way there by the time we get to Plommer. Game on.

In future, I was going to avoid camping at PP in favour of camping at cresent and just going down to PP during the day. Only because I don't like taking all, that food, water and cooking gear.

But if enough people are there, I'd be happy to suck it up for a couple of days and put up with the extra load.

About 15 minutes south along a road that's unsealed for most of the time.

Not a bad drive, nice view.

One will have 70 people on it the other will not.....one lets you light a fire...one lets you walk down the beach and set off fireworks....one has lots of other options close by....shall I go on? Its probably best that you just come Mac and then you can make an informed decision for future trips

A friend of mine counted 72 in the water at Crescent a few months back on a Saturday. Probably a light crowd for a Gold Coaster but thats more people than I see in a week sometimes

So many questions - its past my bedtime!!

So what's the set up its in a national park on the northern side of a protected headland. Looks out over the expansive bay

camping ground any good yep. Clean and tidy with cold showers and you can have a fire You can buy wood and ice from the camp ground.

walk and or view over the point great view from the point...walk to the top of the hill and its even better.

is it a place you can rock up and stay or do you need to drive You should book if school holidays or easter / xmas long weekends. Otherwise its cool. Mid week can be very empty. Esp in winter

Is the paddle long or can you rock jump You can jump off the rocks, paddle though the keyhole or from the boat ramp or anywhere along the point if u wish. The keyhole paddle is about 15m on average unless its super big.

Does one wave roll on all the way or is there two take off points You can take off anywhere except over the rocks at low tide

Is there a little town close by with some takeout food - yep Crescent is the closest. Great bakery, small supermarket, pub, RSL and a couple of booze shops. I normally do a run in each day or every second day between surfs as I love the bakery
