Thats a great setup TB.

Yes it hasn't been working of late had a bit of sand taken out over the winter ,it will come right . Come over when the backs sorted I'll take you out there , some say it's an oldmans wave but that just suits me fine

Looks like heaps of fun. might have a look around for a kneeboard. i did that over in Bali a few weeks back. No dramas.

Made it home. Fun weekend not many waves up there today, swell was missing it Few little lines at Crescent but fairly crowded and not worth it. Michael and OB should get anew this afternoon at Woopi

Good fun surf late yesterday arvo, Michael and OB had a great surf, both of them got some very long rides on the Munozs.

Good days surfing yesterday glad I went and met the boys. I'll post a few photos later if I can, or maybe I'll draw a picture

Sorry for neglecting you all, I have only one excuse, MR and I have been surfing our freaking tits  off,  no poop boys and girls, we're wrapped in this uncrowned surf deal, we're  going out in crap that the locals ignore and we're having a ball.

I've had to ban MR from using the 10.6 Munoz, he's having far too much fun and I'm jealous.

Nothing at PP this morning so we went to Arra and got there while the contest was still  on in reasonable surf,  we didn't want to go in while the heats were on so we went back to woopi and set up camp then went back after lunch.

We got there as they were doing the presentations and I'm happy to report that  RG bagged a few trophies.

We then went out and had the point all to ourselves for an hour and i got to cross two  more items off my bucket list, firstly, I got to see a sea turtle and secondly, I saw a good size eagle ray do a full breach jump in front of me.

When we came back in we had a bit of a  chinwag with RG, he reckons that earlier that day, the woopi club members had to rush down the beach to break up a fight between two  fishermen who had a dispute over how boats should be landed.

I  was so busy talking I forgot to tie one of the boards on and lost the noserider on the highway. Not sure how much damage was done but I'm just happy it wasn't my beloved 10.6.

MR had some very urgent family business to attend to up at the goldy so he made a dash for it while I stayed in woopi. It's good to finally have a hot shower and a decent feed up at the pub. The steak sambo was a giant.

MR is going to be very busy up on the goldy, but I know he would love to see you  guys if he gets a chance.

If you're visiting the SDR emporium, make sure you post when you'll be there, I think he'd like to take a sneak peek at the beer garden machine if the opportunity presented itself.

Sorry lads, no pics yet, I haven't got a thingo to connect the camera to the iPad, but will try to get one tomorrow.

Was disappointed to have to leave OB at Woopi, especially after he lost the Arrow off the roof, perhaps because he was too rushed to get me back tp from Arra to Woopi so I could get on the road. I was planning to stay there at Woopi, but my son is pretty crook and has just moved in to a new apartment in Southport, so I'm helping hm get it set up. I drove for almost 5 hours, had some nosh, then put his new bed together so I have somewhere to sleep here, as opposed to camping out in the van.

It was great to meet some of the lads. A shame Ted and Prawnhead had to leave earlier than expected, and the Dude was there, but didn't get to tell him about Rhonda Rottenbox unfortunately. that Bennett classic single fin Prawnhead took to PP was an absolute pearler.... Very stylish.

OBs largess is only surpassed by the size of his boards.... I rode the 10'6" Munoz, and the 10' Pearson Arrow. Loved the Munoz, but not so much the Arrow, maybe it might be better in a smoother surf, but it was tricky in the NE slop we had this arvo.

So, I'm on the Goldy until Thursday night, Friday morning and whilst I'd love to get a wave with any of the Goldy crowd, time may prove a problem. It may be easier to grab a beer after work though, or a cheapy meal. PM me if you feel like it.

I'd also love to see the Beer Garden board in the flesh, or on the water before I get back on the road.

Thanks Lads, a good weekend indeed.

Well.....

I didn't get up there till late Friday night, drove around could find the boys in the dark so found somewhere to setup had a beer walked up the beach and thought I'd go for a walk around the park before bed, run into a few blokes drinking around a fire that just happened to be Prawnhead, Ted and yes the Dude. So beers were finished introductions made and bed after 1am

Next morning.. The surf wasn't great at PP, Ted was out on his sweet potato, so I headed out and joined him, got a few but nothing great was a bit fat and the swell was going past. As I headed in Michael and OB were paddling out, although I hadn't met them yet.

Another surf was on after breakfast and Ted took out OB 12 ftr and Prawnhead pulled out his sweet little Barry Bennett single fin. This surf was mainly Prawnhead, trying to jump onto the front of Teds board and Ted attempting head stands. Fun but still a bit small and fat.

This little break was a good opportunity to give the Dudes gifts to the boys, although he could have done it himself i the end, was good he was there. the boys were pretty stoked to be flipping through magazines from 20-30 years ago. Very lucky to have the chance, thanks Dude
After the reading time.

Michael and OB were heading down the beach for a surf and Sean was going back to his geeks or glamour night. ted then had to go home in a bit of a hurry. Hope all is well Ted.

I decided the new SB was going for a run and headed down the beach as OB and Michael came in.

Then after a rest for a while the point slowly started to come to life again. OB was on his 12ftr and Michael was on the 10'6 Munoz. To put it bluntly, they made pigs of themselves, waves from out the back to the beach, a few good drops by Michael and one very funny wipeout, probably the best surf of the weekend

Saturday night was pretty quiet a few drinks around the fire with Dude, OB and Michael then and an early night, think the arvo surf had worn everyone out.

Sunday was ordinary, so we packed up and OB and Michael headed north to Woopi and me south, checked a few places on the way home but nothing great.

Was a good weekend, waves weren't great but still lots of fun and good to put some names to faces.

I posted all my photos, my camera was flat.

Mac, looking forward to hearing from you when you sort out a time to catch up, and info about the BBQ......
