That's a serious stringer. Any other dimensions?

It's custom 9'0 x 22"1/2 x 3 and a bit.

Tux, I ordered it! Discussed what I was looking for, talked to Bob. It's a full custom (hand shape), with my name on the bottom!

1 inch thick stringer, I think. Ready for delivery.

Beside the obvious 'need for speed' what were your criteria in designing this beauty?

I think the word speed has nailed it....... I'm thinking TF at Jbay is how Simo sees himself with one....
High line speed runs.

Really nice board Simondo.... And can't go wrong with blue...

From 1.50ish is Jbay...

Last all Pete, just speed!

Sultans of Speed - good work. When I was surfing Sultans in the Maldives, that's all I was saying to myself... Sultans of Speed!

at is really beautiful. Would a board like that be better/more versatile than buying a longboard? Just interested as I would like something for smaller days. Ty

Interesting shape, looks heaps shorter than 9'0 coz of the lack of straight edge I guess...Looks nice

Sweet. Looks a bit narrower (compared to earlier versions) at the wide point front of center?
I like that, seems like a cleaner shape that might release a bit easier when coming down off a high line

Yeah Mac, you're right on the mark actually. Yes, it does look like a Tracker. (Capital T please! - just kidding)
It's kind of like a blend between a Tracker, a Gun (G2 Gun my McT), and my Occasional Pin, with some EvoII flavouring (Side biters).

Basically I asked for a Speed Shape Semi-Gun perhaps dosed up slightly with more gun (G2), with modern rails. Following the basics from his recent Speed Shapes.

Bob said he would move the wide point back an inch, but not to the middle (like the G2)... The Speed Shapes are technically a Tracker Gun, sporting the softer traditional Tracker rails, from the late 60's. So mine sort of has the Tracker Template, but slightly more 'gun', but with harder / sharper rails out the back (more modern rails)... Plus side biters... I though hard about a Single Fin, but Bob hinted that the side biters will add a bit of extra zing... But you can ride it as a single anyway...

But I acknowledge that Blank Side Biters detract from a true single...

I finally got to see a Tracker in the flesh yesterday. Classic shape with the wide point forward of the centre and those rails look lovely. So has anyone ridden one? They would be no good for me I reckon with the waves we have around here. If I lived down Simondo / Tux way I think they would be a lot of fun. The bloke I was talking to reckons that they are not that easy to ride but when you get yourself a nice long wall they are heaven

Good work Ted! I haven't ridden a Tracker actually.

Gee that blue board (above) looks sexy!

7'6 Tracker is my brothers board of choice once it gets overhead plus - but he lives 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off in Bali.

Blue Speed looks like it would be perfect for the points here during the last swell. I would like it a bit longer say 9'3 for the extra volume to paddle against the sweep. Guessing I might have a couple of kg on Simondo.
