Was cleaning out the garage on the weekend and found a VCR copy of the above, if I recall correctly it's in good nick but is of no use to me as I no longer have a VCR. Happy for it to go to anyone who wants to pay postage.
Would be really cool if they were to save a digital copy and get it to me as I can't find it online.

I loved this one and the green iguana

Cant remember which one by Munga Barry does free fall into the pit and some how makes it. Have surfed the wave a few time (sw WA) and knowing how much the bottom drops out I watched it over and over and over in disbelief

+ 1 legendary films the pair of them.

I also had Billabong Surf into Summer around the same time with Richie Collins, Sunny, Jason Buttonshore, Occy vs Curren etc that spent a lot of time in the VHS.

Yeah Ted surf into summer and filthy habits.

Surf into Summer was 1997, I watched it a lot in 88 when I was grade 8.

The jack movies leading eventually to the Challenge series and Occumentary in the late 90's were 94 ish.

It all changed though when Momentum hit town. We went from carving Aussie Rock to Airs, spins and US Punk. I was 18 then.

These movies are punctuation marks on my life, I associate time, people and places with these.

Oh, Scotty. Mad Wax for me was '86 I just moved from Melbourne and surfed 40 times a day.

Same CMC. 86-87 Madwax was getting a flogging. An appearance from the late 'Sanga' Sainsbury at the start. He was so young when you look back now.
Anybody know the surfer at 4:05 ? I recall as a grom we used to say it was Pete Campbell who was from Bondi and he ripped - not so sure now.

I agree that that segment was a big changer but for me KS in Black and White a few yrs earlier was the one for me. We watched that thing until the video died and then got another copy!! It was the first time we had seen someone free the fins and go backwards - we were tripping out when we saw that. That section at Lowers, some video from when he was about 10 and a few airs etc.....he was just doing stuff that we had never seen before. We spent hours perfecting our four-wheel slides on our skateboards so we would be ready for Raglan the next morning and then we could never understand why we could not do them on our surfboards!! Tragic!! Still laugh about that now. If only I had a Sweet Potato then
