I recently acquired two boards second hand, first an upsized custom based on the Firewire sweet potato...its huge! 6'7" , 25" Wide, 4" Thick! catches waves very easily but isn't the easiest to duck dive..that said i'm still mastering the duck dive. I also now have Towballs Mctavish Fireball Evo 9'6". I put a couple of pics of Aucklands West and East coast on a couple of days I managed to get out...and one random pic I saved from May when I checked the local webcam one morning and thought the picture was really good.

Thinking of that board as well. I was looking at the UFO but the evo 2 looks to be a better allrounder.

Geez mate getting old must really suck, one hour surf then need to rest for a month.
Maybe hook up with a lawn bowls club oh hang on your knees are shot
How about taking up stand up paddle boarding, thats what all the old dudes do
Nah you need skill for that one, sorry mate the rocking chair looks like your friend.

All bad jokes aside, good to hear your out there up setting the lineup once again and for the learning all over thing, remember I've surfed with you and it would take years of not surfing to lose your stylish moves.

Now how about letting the cat out of the bag and share what new boards you have and what dimensions the UFO will be.

Its 9.6 x 23 x 3 square tail with trade mark spray running a 7 inch.
Not surfed it much but very unsure if I like it.

Now whats the difference between the UFO EVO 2 pintail?

I might flick the F/B and go for the EVO 2 if its a better alrounder.?

Then I might go up in size on a Redline after riding vanders last week.
Then I'll be looking for a room to rent once the wife finds out
