I'll be attending a 2 day conference at Brighton Le Sands and because they don't lock us up until 9am, I thought I may be able to have a look at Cronulla and possibly jump in for a quick and dirty surf.
Problem is, I know bugger all about the area, like where is the most accessible break and can I park close to it
Anyone know much about the area
Used to go there a lot, only surfed on a lid thougH, so can't vouch for a longboard break.
Mostly went to North Cronulla, or Eloura. Both got big, free carparks and it's not to far to the water. It's also about 30 minutes to Brighton in peak hour, at least.

Just along the beaches Obct. You can park from Wanda right down to North Cronulla. If the winds Northeast you would be better off up north around Wanda.
Lots of good waves around there - the Point can get really good - its right at the southern end of the beach. The crew out there can sometimes be a little unfriendly from memory but I am sure you will be fine - its a few yrs since I have surfed down there. Lots of peaks up and down the beach on their day. There are also some great waves at the northern end - one reef break is an absolute beauty but you may be pushed for time to get out there.
I can also see you out at Shark Island carving it up Ian!!!! Go Hard!!
You could have caught up with Scotty if he wasn't playing hide and seek. Enjoy te dinner tonight and make a quick exit after desert
I waited until after the coffee to make a getaway but I'm pretty sure the Sargent at arms wasn't pissed enough not to notice I was doing a runner.
If he saw me, I'll be wearing a hefty charity fine tomorrow
I'm off to to Nulla in the morning. Family business so no boards or surfing planed. Might have time for a swim hopefully. How long are you there OBCT?
