I think the big difference between the longboard forum and the other forum is that surfers tend to get on with their lives and surfing and then come together and share stories and a laugh and then go about their lives again, whereas other forum members need to be constantly re-affirmed that they are not in fact a kook and that someone is interested in what they say and their very existence and as such have to be always posting new topics and as doggie would say "wanking on about their board" in the hope that someone will comment. We don't need to buy/rent friends because as longboarders, by nature we are family, and everybody knows that family dont always talk to each other - but there is always love and respect.
Hey mac - check the other room for our current surf conditions. Very small but heapsa fun. two of us had it to ourselves for two hours.
