Hi all - with all the talk of hand shaped boards lately I thought I would share with anyone interested some pics of my custom hand shaped surfboard. No - its not a sup ! but it is a real work of art and I am sure you will get an idea from the pictures just how much work these guys put into all their boards - whether it be longboards or sups.
She's not quite finished yet but getting just a little excited about her imminent arrival.
OK I'll bite,so is this your newie, whats the dim's and did you take those photos.
Some volume in the meat end I mean guts
Mac - its not intended to get a bite. Its my new 8'0 x 22 x 3 1/8 MSJ Super.
These pics I got today are the first I have seen of it myself - didn't even know what colour it was till I saw these.
Very happy with what I see so far.

Just haven a dig mate what made you go LB and did you just say, hey do whatever artwork you want.I am a real fussy bugger.OH I am interested BB
they make SH boards keep us or me posted.
Tully is a very good mate and the best h/p longboard I have ever owned was a LB so I asked him to make that same board but in a size that I could throw in the car. Only drama was I really needed a ton of meat in it cos I am not the strongest paddler any more and I am a bit slower to my feet than I was a couple of years ago, and the board does have a ship load of rocker for bigger beachies - thus the 3 1/8 thickness. As for colour - he knows that I like red and yellow in boards and I just trust him to blow me away, and he always does.
Hmm not wrong with the rocker call, looking at your board and the others racked up there is some serious bending going on and it sounds like you've nailed it for what you want out of this board.
Keep the updates coming
Mate they always look heavily rockered on the racks too. For instance the board behind mine is a hand shaped Robert August WIR 9.6 and you know how flat those things are - but it does look to have heaps of rocker in the pic.
ASEA already has dibs on first ride on my newy - don't like his chances as he may have to fight tomayama for it (If I even share that is)
Nice board BB, love the colour mate
The pictures of her progress are sweet mate, look forward to hearing some feedback on how she goes. and some pics of you on her.
My opinion - don't share until you ding her
Hey mac - something for you
The boys at Noosa Surf Works glassing up a board with some very pretty colours
Hey thanks BB that thing looks sick thanks heaps and can you get any of the finished product,LB do some fantastic artwork.
LOVVVVVVVVE your new stick BB...cant wait to test her out!!! ..Yes you will be letting me have a go
TSJ is a brillant shaper and their artwork is always great! Im sure you will be happy with your board.... after i ride it!
Hmm reading between the lines BB are you buying one asea's busted boards cheap and on selling it for a profit
Hey mac - just heard that the colourful board being glassed in the pics is in fact the subscribers prize for the next issue of pacific longboarder
I know I said I never buy or subscribe to mags but just trying to work out my odds of winning the board if I empty out the ashtray in my car and send all my five cent pieces off to pay for a subscription. I would even let you have a ride on it if I win it (before I sell it to asea for $2000)
Yes I saw that yesterday also the short video on the LB site.
Yah,asea will bay anything if you tell him its a best board I've ever
owned,remind you of someone
If I was that guy making that board,I wouldn't go to too much troubleknowing the rider is a sweeper at heart
