Lets start off a holiday thread....

Just had a nice two weeks off. Very lucky. Started off with some weird weather in the east which made for some fun shots out the front of home as the chick dropped the net out

We also had some decent swell for the first time in a long time

It was then time to head West for a mates 40th and wedding. We spent the first day on a bus with 45 people sampling the good stuff

We stayed in a lovely spot - this was the backyard

and saw lots of caves

and trees

and even more trees

we loved the sunsets

and the stingrays

and snakes

and of course we loved the ocean colours

and rugged coastline

But mostly I just loved the waves

And despite that I did a Chrispy and fin chopped my leg towards the end of the trip (this shot is taken 5 days later and healing nicely)

we had a great time over West. Its a great spot for a holiday if you get the chance fellas!! I can not wait to get back.

its best to come last in the comp cause you win a carton of crownies that cost more than the trophies

I was having a cracker of a surf until the fin chop and then I thought of you!!! Lucky it wasn't too bad - I had a wedding to attend in 2 hrs so after hobbling back to the carpark from lefties a mates wife got hold of her friend and she stitched me up in the lounge. Nothing like some good old fashioned backyard surgery to avoid hospital queues and make the wedding on time! She even let me drink a few beers whilst she stitched me up.

yeah that photo makes it look a little better than it really was to be fair. The waves slightly south were much better.
