^^^thanks ted. its amazing hey, i got a heap of mates who where pro bmx guys and i used to love watching them ride and checking the lines they took for speed. then the other day i was watching a young grom doin flatland tricks on his bike and sat there totally gobsmacked at what this grom could do(i hated flat land when i was a grom) it was so fluent and the kid had style. went home and took my lads pushy out and see how hard it was......sh1t i could barely do a bunny hop

my old 97a Bullets used to flat spot like no tommorrow in the good old days. I know I should probably have used softer wheels but I always liked the ramps and so the harder wheels won out!

It's got to be the equipment !!! Maybe he has not been doing his homework? Doesn't have an after school job? Has it too easy round the house? Or maybe he just is one of those fellas who can pick anything up? Probably more so that he had a good old man who showed him the basics early and encouraged him.....no need to be too hard on yourself!

i wear full length leathers on every d/h i do. still at 60 ks im starting to think i have grown soft as groms fly by doing 90 credit to them i think.. yet when i saw the grom hit a cats eye and then the guard rail,i was just glad he was alive. then again im hooked on racing down carpark tracks and they seem to think that is worse. so go figure. sk8 or die was the motto grew up with..no its,im just glad they let the old bloke sk8 with em

Aus fair use to be a great carpark to sk8 down but i doubt youd be able to these days....btw regarding bearings abec is just a rating system, coomming from electric motor industry and ceramics are just a snake oil for use in SK8ing, they are still undecided on high po engines doing 20,000rpm!

For those that do, know you limitations and leave ego behind. A 50 year old woman died this morning in the Brisbane area doing down hill.

yep you got that right. dont let ambition outweigh your ability. to many people come unstuck thinking they are better than they are, plus trying to impress the crew... ALWAYS WEAR A HELMUT

^^^^it was a well skated road they were on and skated by that crew and others heaps of times in a controlled setting. sh1t does go wrong and she made a lot of groms male and females ashamed at how a ballys old chook can shred that sled hard my thoughts are with her family and loved ones. R.I.P
