Machado could surf on a door !

Derek Hynd is impressive here. He drops in on people too much for my liking though...

Hey Simondo, isn't Derek blind in one eye, could be part of the reason for the drop ins, that and he probably thinks he owns it cause he lives there but what a good excuse " aww sorry mate didn't see you, i'm blind"

What are people opinion on the "finless" boards, like Deryks? Valid surfboard design or just a good surfer taking a weird tangent.. but either way he surfs them good.

Yes he is blind in one eye...I don't know if finless is an option for mortals....at Jbay it probably looks like he drops in but in reality 90% the guys are already going at warp speed and won't make the section he brings down...you have to go there appreciate the speed as soon as you check your turn or wobble just a bit it past you and fanging of with no chance of catching up....

Finless Boards - yes, fantastic surfer, taking a fantastically weird tangent. I've seen a few other people try to ride them, but Derek leaves them for dead !!

There won't be a solid place for them in the main stream any time soon. But that's fine. I'd bet $100 that Derek is happy with that anyway.

Not here - 1 ft and crap......maybe by late Friday / Sat we will get something to crow about as long as the winds play ball.
