Just got a call, boards are in Singapore coming on tonights flight. I should get them tomorrow morning.
Here's a cracker of a photo of Bob. I took the photo on Day 1. My camera was on full zoom, and I've zoomed and cropped further. Amazing colours. Bob's face is in the shade. He's wearing a cap (backwards) in this photo. Riding his EvoII with a lovely cotton inlay.
Here's a wave of mine on my 39th birthday. At Cokes.
Recognise the board Asea!?
Sorry for delay. Flat out after getting home!
I will also try and post an interview with Bob (onto my Youtube channel). My Mac doesn't recognise the format. Will get onto a PC and try. I'm in Melbs tomorrow, so don't expect too much.
Thanks but at this rate it will go into the new year
So did you meet any life long friends like the Big Brother houseIs Bob still talking to you
Did anyone dare to take a non McT board
Who was the best surfer on board
How many beers were sunk per night
How many boards did you order
Massive apologies for the drip feeding. Just flat out. Working some overtime, but it's paid, so that's OK.
Daneli, the guy in the middle in the white T-Shirt is about 105 kegs. Bryan on the left is about 95 kegs. So yes, it was perspective.
Bob was great value. So many stories!
1) The Bluebird Logo - he was lying on his stomach up at Lennox Head(land) around the time of the swallow tail single fin days. Saw a swallow fly past and arch around doing top to bottom turn in mid air... He went to the local library to get pictures of Swallows so that the logo could be created.
Beers - mostly we were pretty stuffed of an evening. Don't worry, we all chugged away, but often we started drinking at 6-6:30pm after the late arvo session, and stopped at 9:30ish to rest up for the dawn session... We scored plenty of dawn sessions to ourselves. NO CROWD! It's quite uncrowded anyway.
