As you guys know I'm a bit of a fan of the mid-week surf sessions, with less crowds.
And, this week is no exception. Even with an influx of people along the coast, seems that surfing populous has only increased by 10-20%. Pretty cruisey around these parts still!
Surfed Torquay Point 2 days ago, and helped push my old old flatmate (JoJo) into several waves... On a Longboard! She loved it.
Yesterday, howling South West Winds, but Wye River was really fun.
Today, Winki was really fun!
Bugger, in the blink of an eye my mid-week surfs are at risk for 6 weeks... Someone is dangling carrots infront of me to get my bum up to a desk in Melbourne for 6 weeks! Good & Bad !!
had two surfs on tuesday, two foot and off shore winds (nice change from the onshore slop we have had lately), first one on low tide which was real fun even though i didnt get many good ones coz of the tide but i learnt loads!... and one in the arvo, and it was SO GOOD! tide was a bit higher, and i was close (though not quite) to getting barrelled!!! Got some really fun, long lefts and was generally being a big frother!
5 hours all together and to top it off I watched Endless Summer 2 and was even more frothing after!!
Yewwwww!!!
^^^^ dont worry SP mid week summer is still busy. 2 footers at Salty point today bit full and messy though.
Looking good down your way later this week Simondo - just need to hope those winds behave themselves.......might be time for you to pull out the big pin tail! I imagine you boys in Tassie will also get a bit Meanwhile we get some short period crap swell......oh well thems the breaks....at least we do not need to wear wetsuits
Have 4 caravan parks within walking distance from my place. It's crowded all the time, except super early. Can't wait for them all to leave.
coolum surf report. ift some bigger on a fullish tide. slight bump, yet looked super fun. hope those bastards enjoyed it
