After all the great feedback I got last week with noseriders I took the advice of staying local - well sort of as the board I got is from the other coast - the West Coast, still in Victoria though.
My new ride - a 9'1" x 22 1/2" x 18 x 16 1/2" x 3" single fin log by Jordie Brown of Hightide surfboards. Second hand from his 'shop stock'.
I've had my first surf on too, gutless onshore 2ft pines, was still great to ride, will take a bit of getting used to.
Nice to surf something different.
WOW,what an amazing looking board Merricks[}:)]
Hmm that will be 20 bucks each for the advice
Keep us posted on how she goes, love it
Thanks Mac, my new pup gave it the seal of approval too!
My wife also said she likes the artwork so much I could hang it on display in the hallway when I wasn't surfing it.
Nice!!! Awesome pick up mate from the "West Coast"
And the big bonus is ... the missus approves as well
Looks great Merricks. Nice artwork too. They do take a bit of getting used to but in the right conditions are nice to ride. I bet its nice and heavy. Your dog seems to like it too.
Merricks best looking graphics Ive ever seen on a board. I will be over for the easter classic so Im going to look up Jordie Brown while Im there. Cute pooch too
Thanks for all the feedback, it does look good and rides well too.
Latlong, Jordie Brown is in Skenes Creek, between Apollo Bay and Lorne, and shapes under his own brand High Tide Surfboards, you'll find him on the web.
Saturday morning is looking promising for Westernport Bay, new swell forecast, NE winds which will be offshore, can't wait to get amongst it.
Mac the flogging you get from that other site and you keep going back for more tells me one thing, you have no feelings.now get back on track.
