Anyone come across these, I reckon they would be as slow as all ****, surely you would be better off tapping lead weights to the back of your board if you wanted the hold the tail down ?

I can see the design principle, of the fin... But is it a prototype fin. or a retailed product?

I think Nose Riding is about positioning on the board, and steepness of wave face, plus a bit of crumbing white water on the tail, forcing the tail down, rather than creating excessive drag on the fin... or downforce from the fin... F1 (Car Racing) tactics!

You'd be better off spending some money on some surf coaching, and/or advice...!

Better yet, save the money and put it towards a Maldives trip!

So who has a penchant towards yellow things? Like me for Blue!
PS - is that a yellow 666 in the Longboard Room!? Beer fines, plus sin bins! (if it is a 666!)

Yep you are correct Simondo . have downed that beer as the fine.cruel punishment

Just realized in that pic I have managed to get a kayak , 2 x 666s , toboggans , 2 short boards , and a camper trailer , , there is a longboard in there somewhere as well ,time for a garage sale me thinks .

3 yellow boards , yellow gath surf convertible , yellow paddle on my 666 . Started off as a hawks colour scheme , now it's just yellow so the Missus can find me when she needs to .Can't believe the hawks went down so softly to the tigers this afternoon . Was looking good at half time

Lessons would be wasted on river rider he can nose ride with the best of them .

came across them on ebay, i do like a nice fin, but won't be blowing my $90 on one of these, looks like there is to much rake on the wing thing to me, but you never know.

Do vaguely member someone PM ing me a few weeks back about fin set ups , was that you ?

thanks for the tips .

Funny how I ended up with exactly the same fin . I think it made a difference , hard to be sure , spent 2 hours yesterday in an off shore gale trying my best to stay away from the Victorian shoreline while catching a few waves.better conditions toward the end of this week hopefully to give it a decent try out .

Hey Fellas, I want to get a single fin (9-10") for my 9'1" EVOII - wondering about differences between this type of fin and a hatchet fin - which kinds of conditions/styles they suit?

Any advice welcome.

Cheers

Cool, thanks Mac.

I'll take you up on that sometime. It's another weekend of taking care of my little fellas in the mornings, going to try to get out there this arvo.

I'm off to America for 3 weeks from Tues., so might be when I get back.

Cheers
