Why do you want a single fin ? For what purpose ?
Thats a beast of a fin A true hatchet . imagine getting run over by that
It would hurt! Eff that!
Just looked at this thread for the first time, we get the idea big spaz, you have a metric ****e ton of boards!
They all look sweet as guys!
I have some old water craft, not sure if it is for surfing, but hey, it is still pretty cool.

*cough's on breaky*
Mate! A single fin is way better than thrusters, twinnies, etc. I am sorry but Simon Anderson got it wrong. The only "advantage" of boards, especially short boards with tri fins is that they turn quicker/easier. Other than that, tri fins slow down the board by generating "swirling" of water between the fins. They do not thrust in anyway shape or form. That is a fallacy. Twin fins might be slightly better.
A single fin board cuts through the water far more efficiently, and hence gives you a faster ride.
The quick turn aspect of a board really comes down to weight of rider, speed, size of board and amount of contact between board and water.
I wish Mr Anderson never invented it really.

So even if I was to believe in everything you had just written Lofty I still do not understand why Slater, Fanning, Parko, JJF etc do not ride a single fin at all times (if at all as a % of their total surf time) and those blokes could ride a door if they wanted I think that there is a significant weight of evidence that suggests your thoughts might be one thing but the reality is another - consider the proportion of boards sold that are singles to multi fins these days - have so many people got it wrong? I ride 4 fin boards as a general rule - you are welcome to take one for a spin if you like

Agree nice board. How old is it ?It looks pretty modern. I'm guessing late 90's . Those floral inlays were the go back then.

Funny you should say that, I have seen a video of Slater towing in on a coffee table and an assortment and I think including a door on youtube somewhere.

Bought this board in about 1994 & surfed it regularly up until about 5 years ago. Its taken a beating over the years, but the steel stringer has kept it alive
