I have a 10'' single fin on my 8 foot board. Want to change to a 1 plus 2 setup.

What size of centre fin and side biters should I use??

Anyone have anything kicking around ??

Sounds like you're after a bit more performance out of the board so if you keep all three fins around the same size then go for 5's or 7's depending on your size. Other wise a 7 and 3 side biters would be ok as well. If you have a few fins muck around with them until you come up with a combination you like.

7 or 7.5 Inch Centre Fin, and Size GX (FCS) side biters is a standard set-up. 8 inch centre would also be fine.

9-10 inch fins are really in Single Fin (only) territory... That is the 'design' intent anyway.

My thoughts/preferences are firmly with 2+1 set-ups.

excuse me but i reckon you guys are over finned.

i mean i'm riding a 666 with sunny sides and a 5 1/2 centre.

even a lot ten ft 666 have less then that.

even a 12'6 or 14' 666 a 9" fin is fine.

i've seen sdr cw boards with nifty smaller fin setups.

are you guys not using your rails enough.

well

You have too much rail length, and too much planing area!!
Planing area, interrelates to fin area... And Rocker!
Maybe I just like surfing in Slow Motion!

Any recommendations for a cheap 6 inch centre. Dont have a lot of money to spend and certainly cant afford the MCT stuff.

Buy the dion, they are well made and well priced...

The FCS ones are fine 2 but I'd go the dion over the FCS.

I may have some sidebites, I'll have a look and see.
