Game on!!! Looks like a few of the 'protected breaks' will get some activity over the next few days due to the accompanying wind.....we might see TV footage of SP and surfershaneA on their Logs in the harbour pulling in to some big pits obct and MR should have some fun out the back of "the kick" as well. Some of those other spots north of me maybe kinda interesting as well....there will be no road trip though as school holidays are upon us sadly.

Maybe Lacey should stop by for a downwinder - he would only have to fly one way, I could pick him up from the airport and drop him at the beach.....would be both a quick trip and a cheap trip

yeah I am.....I am figuring it will reduce a lot by the time it hits us as its not a massively long period swell and the models always over inflate the big south swells.....the sheltered spots around here will be 4ft plus and beautiful. Game on

Haven't seen OB for a week or more, as I've been away. I did have a lovely splash at the Roy this morning. Not too big, but clean as. Only trouble was the crowd of 30 or so grommets from the Manly Surf School.

Will be on the Goldie this weekend for my son's wedding, so of there's time Mac and Chrispy will get a call!

swell has been backed off a touch in the models as expected but the winds are slightly more favourable so its been a good result so far.

Thanks Mac - I read a snippet of this work yesterday....wave climate is a big issue!!

And those winds are going to be a big issue today - it feels like our first real autumn day - I have had to wear jeans, a jumper and shoes into the office today! It was coldish at 5am when I got up. Shock horror! Looks like this swell is going to be a really ugly one at this stage - but I hope I am wrong. Lets hope winds stay a bit more SW. And lets really hope that idiot rock fisherman stay away this weekend.

I'm sitting here in boardies just waiting for winter. Still 22 degrees and its dark! The winds onshore, the swells small. You lucky buggers.

Good animation of the swell coming, going then coming back.

Not much around up here this morning, plenty of swell but still very bumpy.

Some cracking waves in Manly this morning, saw a great left hand barrel at Queenscliff.
