Hey
The Mct spoon thread got me thinking about my kneeboard and Wayne Hutch the shaper who had a little shop just out of Gorford, anybody know him or remember him or know what happened to him?. I am pretty sure he shaped SB,s and the occasional LB as well he was a funny character.
This board must be over 20 years old now doesnt get used much I just leave it in the back of my ute and will use it if the surfs to big or messy for LB or SUP, but I have always hung onto it, took it to Bali a few times, we got dropped behind a reef somewhere up near Nusa Dua probably a 2 km boat trip to the break and I snapped my leggie first wave board got washed over the reef into the bay the boat wasnt due back for 2 hours so we sat out there sharing my mates board thinkin about tigers and how overfished the place is and how hungry they must be.
Got the board back when we finally got picked up, my kids have surfed it, and my six y/o has used it as a SUP in flatwater.
Cheers Boof
Theres a few kneelos around here that ride them, I think he is still around Gosford somewhere, I vaguely remeber a sign somewhere when I was working on the central coast just not sure where.
Thanks Guys we are heading down to Sydney for Easter and I am gonna take the family on a tour of all my old local haunts as a kid Nth Avoca,Copa, Terrigal Haven and may do a run up to Stockton for a day, and thought it would be cool to see if Wayne Hutch was still around and drop in
Cheers Boof
