Tiny down here today but there was a trickle of east swell around and I spotted a few empty banks driving south today. Would have been perfect for a 10 footer. Beautiful day though.

I am not sure where I will surf today....I normally trust my own research and instincts and back it up with the buoys. I like to check on a Monday what the big boys are saying as well.......and this is where the big divergence comes in

1. Large E/NE swell to 4-6ft at north-east facing beaches during the morning, easing into the a'noon. Smaller at south facing locations and on the Hunter. Larger 8-10ft waves of the South Coast.
2. Short period NE windswell around 2 ??? 3ft+ exposed open beaches, mixing in with residual SSE swell at 1 ??? 3ft elsewhere. Easing during the afternoon. WIND: Early NNW tending NW 5 to 15 knots.
3. SB has 8 to 10 feet at 8 seconds
4. The buoys are not reading well this morning but could be 4m at 8 seconds from the East
5. Willy weather is 2m at 8seconds

I think I will go for a look just to see just who is on the money this week

The first one.... it was easy 4-6 here... Bit bumpy though, this was from this mornings report

Sorry Tux I do not take the camera when I go to that spot. Its a long walk to the beach and the carpark has a long history of misplacing peoples items that were once safely locked away. Some people never surf there for that reason and others do a 20m walk from another location to avoid it. I just keep nothing of value in my car and pray

Well that sucks, wouldn't have thought there were waves big enough today?????

Had a nice couple of hours on the southern end, still settling in on the new board but it's feeling pretty good.

8am tomorrow, same bat place, same bat time.

Vanders each surf on that thing you will notice a huge difference in your surfing, today I saw a heap,no more tips from me
That board looks small under you,it could be the tint work or I'm just used to seeing you on the 10 footer.

That sucks. In saying that, I saw a bloke on a firewire longboard in 1ft Surf snap it clean. I know weird stuff happens but this shocked me.
Then again get a big rockstar on a potato chip doing damage to mother nature anything can happen

I'm going to be a Surf reporter. Saw the farmer paddling around by himself,no other soul in the ocean. Felt sorry for him and paddled out. It was complete crap. Was good to catch up with the big fella.
