another couple of options are:
Drive to Emerald beach, if it's blown out with a northerly make your way up to the headland parking area (BTW, the headland is called "Look at Me Now" dead set) the one with the kangaroos all over the place and check the break at the northern end of Mooney, it's an easy walk down the track.
Bit further up is Sandy Beach and it's the same deal there, only the break is called Back Sandy and it's a bit more of a hike to get to it over Bare Bluff.
The next break would be Woopi main, but you would need to be real lucky to find it working, best to drive up to the headland and look at Woopi Back Beach, don't try walking down from the headland, there's a good parking spot behind it down the bottom, but it's very secluded and there's a few ferals in town so don't leave any valuables in the car to be seen.
Thanks OB. Think I checked them all was a fruitless search. Had a nice breakfast at woopi though.
Ended up in Byron and got a few mid arvo. And some nice ones this morning .
Just about to paddle out at LM looks good AGAIN
Guess I must have missed that call............

because nobody reads this sh!T .
What do they (present charming company excepted) contact you about Mac? Board advice I guess? Or just weird sh!t??
Half of it is relating to boards asking if I know where to pick up a good second hand board, some about the mctavish baggingand the rest just crazy sh1tI don't know these people at all
My response is keep an eye on the mctavish site for second hand boards and the bagging is just a gee up.

I tried surfing a point this morning bloody northerly jacked in an hour or so later and chopped it up faster than Long John whoppercack Holmes ever did in his prime
Absolute quality here today. 1-1.5 overhead... Picture perfect today. I got a few bombs and local 'pro' photographer captured some images! I'll post 'em up here soon.
Maybe 1 weeks time...
Smoking waves here today. 4-6 foot sets... Meaning at least 1.5 overhead, and plenty at Double Over...
No doubt there will be "wave of the day" pics on the sites, in the morning...
Got a couple of smokers through the Bells Bowl.
Also got smacked at the end of the bowl... Didn't get under the lip well enough, and the lip clipped the tail of the board... I was bees-dick away from completing the race track section, and getting ready for a big cuttie... on that end section...
And: I don't think there's any more water left in my nose! She's been dripping like a tap!
Good very early this morning at Razorbacks .... stoked at the "slightly" wrong forecast .... ya just gotta do the drive to be alive
Scored smoking waves down the road from Bells on Saturday arvo...probably the nicest I have ever surfed the one place and only 5 guys out....scored again on Sunday at the same place...probably a bit bigger (6 foot) and I knew 6 out of the other 8 guys in the water...****ing smoking weekend of waves
Bastard tux
Now queenslanders go and Surf, there is waves and I'm still munted. Thank me for my sacrifice later
To give you an idea of swell hitting Vicco yesterday... I can only assume this was Castle Cove, or somewhere like that, down past Cape Otway...
It was a very solid swell though... Very powerful swell.http://www.swellnet.com.au/galleries/waveoftheday?image=1474
I was at Bells for the late session. Totally sick! (Or SIC for Lacey!). Glassy and perfect, and super solid!
Jealous fellas......this time of the year I always get super jealous of the waves you get whilst ours are generally terrible....this year once more I will fail to make it down your way for a long weekend even though every year I say I must - when will I learn Glad you are getting some.
The Farm again . Glassy waist to head high peaks all over it. Bugger all crowd but heaps of smoke in the air. Had a real different feel about it today. Starting to get the hang of steering this barge around without killing anybody.
