Heading back to my old stomping ground tomorrow from Nelson Bay and I must admit I am very disappointed to see no swell on the forecast. It has been solid here all week (snapped my SUP, happy 62mac?) and it will be a bummer to leave the waves behind. C'mon guys put some swell on for an old Gold Coast Boy. Looks like straight back over the border in search of waves. Oh well I will get to test the new second hand Redline at Tally creek mouth maybe. Anyone know the long range forecast, Chrissy waves maybe? Bringing two mals just in case.
Cheers, Spiro
Its been smallish but pretty good here all week too Speriott, you just got your weeks wrong and you actually meant to come up this week.
Can't see too much for you next week, so pop in and have a coffee and do some chrissy shopping. - Mark
Never good news breaking a boardMate the redline will be the perfect board for some small sliders,I had a ball today
Give us a shout when your up and make sure Mark doesn't make your coffee, young Joel is the man
thanks mac, sorry Mark no flat white from you mate, the Jman to make it only lol. I will try my best to catch up Mac. Is Lacey's your local? I normally go to Nobby's Outlook, Talley Creek mouth or Kingscliff. I have to catch up with a few old mates so I will do my best. At least I can hit it an hour earlier there. Love the 4:15 am surfs.
wow! I haven't surfed there since the 80's, crowds and I don't mix well. I kind of don't enjoy them. I used to enjoy surfing outside Rainbow on larger swells, those were the days. How bad is the mid week crowd on the early?
Mate its a matter of picking your spot and holding it.The holiday crew have been in town the last two weeks.Today I used the northern sls flag as you would on a point, kept right on the marker it worked a treat nobody was paddling around the inside
Yes Mac I do the same here with the arvo holiday crowds at the local Birubi SLSC. My usual when I head up the Coast is a surf at Nobby's Outlook then a quiet coffee at the cafe at the pedestrian crossing at Nobby's shops (Can't remember the name). great coffee. I lived and surfed Nobby's from the 60's until the mid 90's and it still feels like home. I love fosters bakery as well. mmmm pies.
Hey Sepirott back in May I had a surf a Birubi one pretty small day I was up there with about 3-4 in the water. I was wondering if one of the longboarders out there was you. I was on a big brown 10 footer.I said hello to you all.
How much swell do you want??????? Just looked at the long range forecast looks like something will be coming later in the week.

Thanks Santa..
Not sure smh but if it was the super early it could have been me. I hope we were polite. SP I love Chrissy swells, I hope it happens, 4 to 6ft would be nice. Going for a grovel in the morn at Nobby's Outlook, I am going to give the big red tomato a go. (10ft Redline) To buggered after driving all day today to travel to far. Looking at the surf cam it will be desperate times I think, oh well the post surf coffee will be welcome.
Just had a customer in the store tell me they are expecting 10 foot on the weekend,I looked at the forecast and cant see it am I missing something
I know of two ***'ers that love the big stuff, one looks at you as if he wants to eat you alive and the other is making something for you
bring on the swell heaps of bundys who in their right mind would surf a place like bees around a honey pot fu.k that
