Why do blue tints / boards look better?

Dam good question. Maybe in the water its because of the contrasting colours of both the water and the sky ? Blue boards do look good both in and out of the water though - Perhaps its because people generally like blue - like how Tony always wears a blue tie .

Look I am not sure.......good question though. This thread is showing loads of potential already.

Unlike Tony I'm sure Simondo can string two sentences together.

Oh Dr Karl won a ignoble science prize.for this study. Something about all clothing fibres start or end up from the colour blue no matter what colour they originate from ie a red sshirt when broken down will end up.starting from blue. Look it up there is a good chance when Dr Karl explained I became fascinated with my belly button and lost track.

Blue lint! ^

Here's another one for Simondo;
Why do the church ladies make such brilliant sandwiches and cakes? (Even though their instant coffee can be a bit ordinary...)

Went to my Uncles funeral a few Fridays back, in a beautiful old church on the Bellarine Peninsula... AAA+++ rated sponge cakes too... The old Passionfruit Sponge loaded up with fresh cream!
God bless Uncle Laurie, he made it to 89. A splendid knock. A true gentleman.

Q1 - There's a possibility I may have to go to Sri Lanka for work soon, how far & how much hassle would it be to swing by the Maldives for a few waves?

Q2 - How organised do you have to be to surf there e.g. Would I need to arrange the boat thing or can you hit them from shore?

I may only have 3 or 4 days to play with.

Fly to Male, the capital, and get a boat transfer taxi over to Cokes surf camp. $110 per day once there... That's the best option for a short stay. Great waves close to Male...

Bring a board, shorts, rashie, and sunscreen... That's about all you need...
Book flights and accomm, and you are set! Easy as!

Great waves in Sri Lanka Vanders. What month are you there? That determines where you should go.

This cost more, but is a great place to chill for a few days... Again, short speed boat trip from the airport.

Could be as soon as 3-4 weeks depending on visa process, not a definite but thought I'd ask just in case it does come off.

I will mate for sure if I know it's going to happen, don't want to set myself up for disappointment knowing how good the place is if it doesn't work out.

this is a really useful source of information thanks, I have just one more question for Simondo,

after loading the dishwasher, which I don't mind doing, its just the unloading that I don't like, sorry I digress, on the occasion when I have unloaded the dishwasher I notice all the crockery and cutlery is all dry except for those pesky cups with recessed bases that always hold water and catch you unaware but plastic containers are never dry and retain water particles which makes tea towelling necessary, why does plastic not dry in the intense heat of the dishwashing cycle?, that is my question. I am not overly concerned by this but it is something I would like to know before I cash my next pension cheque, ok....

Great question. Unlike you ockanui I am overly concerned by this it is something that continues to frustrate me. I am pretty sure things used to dry better in the old days. We always seem to have a whole bunch of containers sitting on the bench on a tea towel - the bench this evening after emptying the DW can be seen below. I know that when the cycle finishes if we happen to be awake or at the house we open the door and pull out the trays to drip dry. But this is the 2013 and I do not think its good enough!!!!!

Simondo - will James Hird still have a job at the end of the week?

I think he should have lost it already....so I am going to say NO but stand to be corrected by the real Simondo when he makes it back to this thread. He is an AFL aficionado

FORMER Adelaide skipper Mark Ricciuto isn't ready to back away from his claim that Essendon coach James Hird has been urged to resign.

The Bombers and Hird have denied that the coach has been issued an ultimatum to resign by Thursday or ?someone else might make the decision for him? as the club wrestles with the AFL club's supplements scandal.

Essendon issued a statement on last night saying they categorically denied what they termed a baseless rumour.

Hird today repeated that denial.

?I think if you read the Essendon statement, they're all untrue,? Hird said at the club?s training base at Windy Hill.

But Ricciuto told Adelaide's Triple M radio that while he hoped he was wrong, he had received the information from someone he regarded as a credible source.

Lacey, you would kill it on a Longboard! You should get a 9'1 comp model, nice fine rails... You could go all the way at The Nationals, in your age group! Go on, I dare you!

Tha Dogman is coming through Woolgoolga as we speak, heading towards to Vicco! So look out Vicco crew!
He's also heading through Forster-Tuncurry to drop past Jungle Surf to pick me up a 2nd hand custom carbon board (no, not 666!)...
A Dick Van Straalen Reef Rider!
Pics will follow after the weekend.

He could drop it off at mine for me on route and I could use it for a few weeks and drop it off to you at the end of the month when I am down your way. Is that cool ?

Whats Bob going to say when he finds out you are having an affair?
