My 28 yo daughter and her boyfriend came over for dinner and she mentioned that she would like to try surfing over the Xmas break but she was worried that she could never do it because her sense of balance was so bad.

I said, okay, lets see how bad it is and bought out the balance board so she could have a go. I could tell straight away that her balance was no worse than anyone else and I told her that all she really needs to learn is how to paddle and pop up.

She asked what a pop up was so rather than explain it, I took the fin and the wax off the Arrow and set it up on the 4 inch foam.

She did pretty good, very quickly, she learn that she was a goofy footer, and not to grab the rails when standing, she learnt to centre herself and to never lock her knees (wished I could learn some of this fkn stuff).

Then she wanted to know why she had to move around on the board because whenever she sees people surfing, they stand in the one place. So I explained the difference between a longboard and a short board and showed her how you turn and hang 5 or hang ten and try to do some style'n with your body and arms.

And then I said and you can crouch down or even do a cheat'n five like this, and proceeded to demonstrate it as best I could.

As soon as I did it she immediately goes "ooooohhhh !!!! that's a Slut Drop, I can do that".

We all pissed ourselves, I've heard of the expression before, in relation to a dance floor move, but I never made the connection with surfing.

I don't think I'll ever again be able to look at someone crouching on a board and not think "Slut Drop"

Nice story OB but I would have been concerned that she was using such terms in front of you so casually - is she too old to be disciplined? ......or maybe she just knows her father well!!!

I'm proficient at the Slut Drop! Useless at Hang Ten though.

forget about those pathetic newcastle chicks trying to look a bit sexy with their pissy little slut drops.

Just do a search for:-

cynthia hernandez dancing with the stars

It's the Argentinean version of the show and this chick gets down and dirty in a major way. At the end of the routine they're basically just rooting each other, and they may as well because by the end she's got no gear on and she's flat on her back.

Most of the moves are nothing more than dry humping.

You tube will probably make you sign on for the good version.

Is there any surf in Argentina?

Yes...its cold though....we got some great waves there when we headed through....loved the place. Make sure you go there one day just for the food alone. The girls are an absolute bonus. Great spot to hang out for a few months if you get the chance.

Search for this on youtube and you will not need to sign in

Thanks Ted

3.59 minutes, that's more than enough time to rub out a quick one [}:)]

You've made my day again ocbt, this forum is so much better than tv. Next time I head down south I would love to meet yourself and MR , and share a wave or a drink. Doubt you will see me slut dropping :-) Might be heading down late February.

a dog rubbing its coit on the carpet now lets see those pommy chicks do that move on the dance floor

Seeing a mut itching its arse by scooting along the ground with its back legs up, is just about the funniest thing in the natural world.

I wish I could do it after a big curry night
