Far out, saw some pics on Facebook. The Goldie is pumping! Really heavy. Some of those sets would dish out a belting if you stuffed up.
well it certainly got big fast today. had a heap off fun. started to feel a bit uncomfortable being out there in the end. started getting big and big sweep. i did well for a while, then i started to struggle with some duck dives, was feeling pretty weak and tired, some of them i just held onto that board like no tomorrow. the waves were coming from a really strange angle. looking forward to watching the chargers hit it tomorrow
^^Good on ya for hittin it Chrispy I was watchin off and on the cameras all day just got gnarlier every hour I know what you mean about the swell it was nearly straight south looked like a filthy sweep we went to the pass swell was sort of missing it
im going to head down to watch. i stayed for a fair bit after i surfed and watched some long barrels being made. boofy, funny thing was even before it seemed to be getting bigger, the waves started to feel more powerful.
I was standing at Snapper this morn 10 foot sets coming through maybe ocassionally bigger with about 30 onlookers this little asian fella turns up puts his wettie on in front of everyone smiles gives a nod and heads out he is probably at Noosa now
This was headed the little fellas way I reckon it was about 12 foot
tomorrow night on the beach...the mighty hoodoo gurus are putting on a free show.
sunday will be spent with the esky watching and soaking up the fine tunes off ash grunwald.
Well I viewed the cams early this morning and it didn't look surfable,I checked a hour later and noticed some sliders and hit the road with the 908 Redline (sunset)with a new fin.I also had the new UFO,I was keen to give it a go.
I paddled out on the redline and got some really nice fun waves and the new fin worked a treat compared to the hatchet fin I've been using.
So I was stoked with how the Redline surfed, you my remember I was having trouble with this board from the get go and racked it for a long time.
The tide dropped and I could see the UFO would be fun so I changed boards and paddles out.
To be continued in the MAC is a f***wit thread.
where you surfing tomorrow mate? i think i might still meet the boofy head at byron. will txt and see if he gotten over that case of scabies he had my little place will be nice as well
