this ones the fin set up on my 9 foot 6 original gun

8 inch 6 centre oceancritter dolphin fin , 4 inch GLX side bites

am thinking too much centre fin for me , this board is for my shortboard type longboard so want to be able to throw it around ,thinking of going with quads with a nubster or a thruster setup

Looks good!
I like 7"1/2 or 8 with 4" sides. The new McTavish 4"1/4 sides are even better!

I just like a good old single fin TD. I have tried a few bigger fins but always come back to this one - its normally about an inch closer to the nose these days. One day I borrowed a pure nose riding fin and loved it - but it is impractical for what I use that board in most of the time. If I love in Nossa I would have one on all day long

Dodgy old man fin set ups.
Shapers Jackson Close s9 with a shapers shark fin thingy. Big sides for heaps of drive and a shark fin which makes it super loose. On bigger days I sometimes use pc5 on the side with a pc3 centre or am2, generally I stick with the pictured fin set up.

Interesting set up Chrispy , wonder if they make the shark fin to fit into a traditional longboard centre fin box

Hasn't been to bad this winter as long as you don't have to put your head under, I think it got down to 9, but we must be just about over the worst of it now, have spotted the ding doctor surfing in boardies a few times, but he is different

Same here I think it's abouT the 12 degree mark in the water at the moment .

Spotted a bloke body surfing in boardies at presso bay yesterday . Now that's keen . Can't be good for the health of the crown jewels .
