Jeepers it looks cold down there TAssie - I recall surfing in NZ with snow on the hill and stiff offshore blowing - ouch!!

The finance has just seen this post and it looks like my chances of moving to the island with work are now over

Sorry Ted , bring her down in summer she will love the place . Miles of empty beaches , twilight so she can be outside playing till late , she will love the place .

I can tell by your description of surfing with snow in the hills and a stiff offshore you have experienced similar days in NZ . . You have to experience it to really appreciate it .

The fin screws arrived tonight SP so no still have not used the fin . Hard to beleive I couldnt get a fin screw in Northern Tassie .But I do now have it attached to the board looking forward to the next surf .

Also placed an order for a new board last night . After seeing that M8 board posted by Arkgee I am starting to think I should have maybe gone a bit shorter . Ah well I am sure I will enjoy the new board when it arrives .

Had to sneak the titmouse in pup ,last time I posted them they were taken down so I have tried to sneak them in quietly this time so the anti-tit brigade don't notice

Sorry pup got distracted from the topic , yep it's a 9 ft 1 nimbus . Tough choice between the Goddard Nimbus and Goddard Thunder but couldn't go wrong either way . Hopefully Arkgee may be able to post the making of the board up for us to watch as it progresses

Going a thruster at this stage SP unless Ron thinks otherwise , only because all the boards I have had have either been thrusters or single fins . Willing to listen to suggestions .
Dimensions roughly 9 ft 1 by 22 1/2 by 2 5/8 .

No suggestions here, never had a quad as a LB, i did ride a twin one day.
id be taking RGs advice on that but I reckon you're dimensions are spot on, if I remember rightly you are a light weight 2, that's about what I go for a normal LB.

If you get a touch of the Macs and don't like it let me know

No I reckon this one will be a keeper SP . Though if I did sell it I reckon Ted would be pretty keen on it being a big Hawks fan and the colour scheme being gold and brown .
I have left the dimensions to RG . He is going to make it a bit thicker to allow for me wearing wetsuits most of the year otherwise it will be made for a lightweight since there is not too much of me .
