Really brings it home how big they are huh? I guesstimate that one at 13-14ft, maybe 15 at the outside. Very solid beast. I've seen one in the water that I've always called for 23-25ft, looking at that, maybe it was 20-21

Crazy $hit doing that, you'd have to have the most incredible control of your body for your heart rate not to go bat$hit and get it riled up.

That reminds me of the idiot in America with the grizzly bears ( Timothy something). The grizzly bears were his friends who needed his protection. Then he pissed off one of his "friends" and it ate him.
There a pecking order in nature that you just don't mess with.

What's the story with the one you saw in the water-all the details?

I much prefer the way they train them in Hawaii compared to the way they train them in South Africa.

this comment spot on imo

"They probably gave the shark 50lbs of topsirloin stuffed with a pound of lorazapam to sedated the **** of the shark. I don't buy it when people think their lovey dovey with aggressive wild animals, it's too easy to give them some heavy sedatives and play with them like infants"

just another bs commercial

People have been freediving alongside white sharks for several decades now...I don't see why people are acting like it's a new recent craze.

Not much of a story really, just surfing Rocky Point with a mate and we got buzzed by a school bus with teeth, we both bailed up the rocks and watched it cruise up and down the point for 15-20 minutes, so we got a good look at it.
It was big, seriously big.

same vid in the kite flyers forum with the claim that the shark was well fed or drugged, can't dispute it but it seems that a heavy level of skepticism surrounds this vid. I'm trying to decipher whether this a promo stunt or an attempt to promote conservation, either way I'm not sure it's worth analysing or debunking as it's freakin awesome footage

Drugged up, full of food whatever. That's simply amazing and would be right up there with one of the biggest adrenalin rushes you'd ever experience.
Massive respect to the chick.

A whale carcass washed up on the rocks there 4 or 5 weeks ago, a GW, 2 tigers & a hammerhead were snacking on it. They towed the carcass North West & took the dinner party guests with them...I opted to give going for a swim a miss
