Tried that SUP thing and been doing my usual Kiting, even dusted off the 6'3" not so long ago.

I was recently in NZ and took a drive down the south west coast of the south island. Pulled into a nice little bayside town and started chatting to a couple of guys suiting up at a place called Colac Bay (chook hat, gloves, booties, 5/4's) they were telling me the water was around 10 degrees!! Yet they were still keen as to take on the 1-2ft puss that was on offer!
....I no longer whinge too much that its cold here. I'm more appreciative of fact its warmer in the water than out :)

I heard the word is that the 5m white pointer is still lurking around strickos. Apparently its very old and has a munted head. It was seen not long ago by a reputable source almost run aground on the reef at the end of the right. Having said that maybee the big fella has sunk by now RIP.
