Zuke you really are a sea dog mate! Can't believe something had swell today! I gotta get out and look around more, that thing looks magic.

It was really good in the end BUT, I spent 3 hours driving around the ocean trying to find a wave before ending up at this place and travelled nearly 50nm for the day, I used way too much fuel AND it was totally worth it

Sadly my boat uses about 75 liters an hour at 20 knots so it would have to be a amazing surf to travel that far. Oh and I'd want topless waitress's to rub me down between surfs

VERY small this arvo - basically inconsistent stuff below 1ft. Still good to get wet after being out for a few weeks. Struggled on my 5'6 fish as my arms got tired. Think it's time to invest in a mal or an SUP

Small wave on the beaches this morning for those that did the early. The water is very warm but it was pretty sharky.

Heard it was a 4 metrey but i really don't want to start another shark discussion/debate/arguement. I don't have the energy...

^^^^ the radio said a 4m White was spotted at Scarb yesterday evening at 7pm and Rotto beaches were closed today because of a Bronzy spotted 500m offshore.

Been down trigg the last two nights right up to 6.30pm with the squids in the water surfing and swimming, seen a couple of big stingrays but no sharks...phew. Best thing was 11 year old daughter paddling my old 6'10" and catching a few and now wants a new "real" surfboard for B'day instead of an I-pod...I reckon thats money well spent

That pod of Dolphines was hammering mettems pool wednesday morning, cool to see.

This morning... tide perfect, wind perfect but swell needed another 2-3ft, a few fun ones that hollowed out enough to get in!

Better than where we went Bakesy, much better. Had the missus's 15yr high school reunion last night, got home at about 1 up at 3:50 picked up a couple of lads on the way north. Drove up the beach, absolute pus, turned around, home by 9:30 and 400km later.
Hope someone buys my house today I'm lookin forward to having that as a local.

Think I came close to breaking my person record of water time ;)
In the water just after 6am...out at 1:40pm with a 10 minute break for water

Don't know why...waves at secrets weren't even that great. Just couldn't leave though.

...wind burn's a bitch.

yeah it is shallow in places, the takeoff area can be sketchy on small days. It is a bit of a fin graveyard but haven't lost any this year!!

a couple of marginal ones, makeable but an error on takeoff can be hazardous to your health!!

Woke up sore on Monday ;)

Anyhoo...just been up to Trigg and a bit further. Flat as a lake. Water was lovely though, plenty of whiting around...if only you were allowed to use a gidgee

I've taken a mini mal on a jetstar flight a couple years ago and had no issues.
But won't ever do that again...carrying 4 boards in the airport without a coffin....blaaargh! "
