Was never going to be what the graph showed. Still a couple of "northern" spots would be good today.
Not for me though. Had a mole cut out of my back as a precaution this morning. Feel a lot better for it as well!
I Checked out the metro areas early this morning. A lot of people take the graphs as gosbel dont they!
how many people talk it up over the graphs....a swell comes in with what speed no one knows. it can be early or late. i had a guy adamant, it was going to be bigger late arvo yesterday.
whos going to predict this cyclone/low pressure swell for saturday or sunday?
Went for a ride along the coast... on the way back about 11am just as the Northerly started to white-cap saw a 4 wave set at the point that wound have been a good pushing 4ft (7-8ft face). First time I've seen it break like that for ages... also a fair crew on the far rights at Mettams (just on the corner of the lower car park) - SB's as well as LB's... Tom's not really doing anything... few kiddies on boogers at Grabbers...
T.C. Bianca 29th Jan, swell came from the north west and a few rights popped up on a beach where it usually closes out
interesting shots, maybe a bit creative thou
guy "surfing" the first foto quite a midget compared to the bloke looking out to sea behind the wave
Im not saying its going to be the same or even close to being as big but i do know the swell forecasted this week will last longer than the window we had with bianca. some many opportunities this week, hope you score.
^^maybe tomorrow, it's about the same size swell as the last one atm..on the 29th Jan
might get 3 in 1 month
last cyclone swell we had here before these was in April 4yrs ago
i drove and surfed my way up n down the coast most of the day and found Yal's putting on its G land face once again.(No were near as big as Bianca but fun all the same) this was my pick of spots for the coast today, although i didn't get to margrets main, the coast north of it was not getting alot of swell.
its completely flat. What little swell we got from Tc Dianne was only a 1 day wonder(monday) with Tc Carlos now giving us nothing in WA. theres some evidence of new sw swell but small , although the south coast of WA is now coming into its prime...
a pulse today, not a big pulse but one all the same. Some great little waves up and down the coast today with sets nudging head high. inconsistant but worthy for the wait. beachies north and south of yals looked the goods today. looks like we should see some similar pulses sat/mon
geesssus, i take back that about TC CARLOS giving us nothing. well nothing for us southerners anyway!
all over now, even if we get another nw swell, sands got washed away 3 foot rock ledge that i never knew was there has appeared now, along with rocks everywhere was fun while it lasted though, be years till that happens again, was 4 years ago last time it broke and about 10 years before that, and they were one day wonders
i think it might have fked up a few of the normal breaks too by the looks of things.
Trigg Pt should be ok though,
lol synsie, there might even be an old pirate ship under there full of treasures...you never know a few went missing in their travels in the old days, aye me hardys,
yeah well all the treasures been found down this way.haha. today saw a nice little head to a little over head high on the sets at some well know spots but it was thick....like shoulder to shoulder thick. another quick pulse early week then back to flogging a dead horse.
